In my experience I've had pretty bad luck with the women whose phone numbers I've received when inebriated. Getting the number isn't difficult it's the follow up where I get ghosted. So, as stated earlier, last night my sister's friend handed me her phone and had me call myself so we had each other's numbers. Do I ever text her or?

So apparently a "feminist" is someone who breaks up with their live-in bf, loses their job, and rather than focusing on building her independence, instead continues to mooch off her ex WHILE ALSO flirting around to get paid-for dates when she gets lonely. In a nutshell, depending on men so she can avoid the consequences of her actions.

Not to mention basically none of these men know she is still COMPLETELY dependent on me, for food, transportation, rent, everything. She can't even fucking admit it or be honest about the situation.

I think my ex-girlfriend needs someone to teach her what feminism actually fucking means. I finally stood up for myself today.

I'm so exhausted from her twisting this to make it seem like I'm a controlling person. I asked her after multiple honest, calm discussions about it, to refrain from dating out of respect for my feelings while I'm still financially committed -- our lease ends in a month and a half, so really not an unreasonable time frame -- and she twists that like I'm saying "you can't see anyone else if you're gonna break up with me". She took very stubborn arguments we had, where I raised my voice out of exasperation/conflict anxiety, and twisted that like I berated her and made her feel threatened. Her PTSD from previous abusive relationships is in full swing right now and it's honestly gaslighting both of us. It's like she views anyone who hurts her feelings as a manipulative, emotionally controlling person.

But the fact is, no one at all is telling her she "can't" leave my house and go see other people. If she's this huge feminist then she needs to fucking own it, get two jobs if her new one isn't gonna be enough, and focus on getting out of my house, rather than having me buy her food/bills so other guys can buy her drinks. The problem is she's depending on me while she's doing it, taking advantage of my amnesty. All I have told her is that it's disrespectful, insensitive, incredibly self-centered, and makes me very unintersted in staying friends because it shows she lacks integrity. That's not control. That's just honest expression of feelings.

She plans on paying me back July 17 when she gets her first paycheck but it's like, how are you so self absorbed that you can't respect how I feel until then, knowing that my life and my financial situation is getting twice as hard because of you? I just can't wrap my head around it.

Like it's not like I can go out and date too. I'm broke because I'm paying for her still! She just doesn't get that this is a shitty thing to do to someone, she only argues from the side of "I'm a feminist and you can't say anything about my sex positivity or sexual freedom!" Well yeah, I can't stop you from being selfish and insensitive but that doesn't change the fact that behaving without regard for others hurts and alienates people.

 

By the way to add context she lost her job a day after breaking up, was already seeing other dudes 3 days after... it's not like she owes me money from 3 months ago and I'm holding this over her head until the end of the year or something. It's like, she freshly put me in a rough spot both financially and emotionally, and then, with no patience or sensitivity to the situation whatsoever, is like "well good luck cleaning this up, I'm gonna go sleep with Jared cause he's taking me to that concert".

If I'm pushing this narrative too far and some of you think "eh, you just sound bitter" please let me know. So far most people I've talked to agree that how she's acting is fucked up, but if I'm just being a jealous dick I'd rather you guys be honest and tell me that.

 

Maybe you are but that's understandable, it's disrespectful to you for her not to have plans to move out ASAP, or stay paying a fair a share as a roommate. Move in with parents or whatever.
