Damn, love Lathimos but had no idea the new one had horror elements. Hype level officially through the roof.

Anyone watched 21 Days (2014)? Yet another haunted house found footage movie, but the premise was believable enough, at least at the beginning. Some good scares, some jump scares...probably will watch this one again some time.

Haven't seen it. Sounded interesting on your recommendation, I just thought when you said the premise seemed believeable at the beginning at least, I thought that was because you didn't have a chance to watch the rest.

ah, no. without really spoiling it, it's a horror movie, people do dumb stuff/make dumb choices, etc

Best horror movies that take place in the mountains/woods. Go!

Side question: is We Are Still Here any good?

we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

Some of the top of my head that I really enjoyed: Cabin In The Woods, Evil Dead (original and remake), The Blair Witch Project, The Witch, does The Texans Chainsaw Massacre count? Cabin Fever was alright.

I remember loving Eden Lake, but it's been a long time. Doesn't take place entirely in the woods, but I think it has enough to be classified as woodsy.

  21. Yeah, unsurprisingly I thought XX was pretty great. Loved that all of the main characters were women, loved the variety between the shorts (and was surprised to find that Annie's was actually my least favorite). The first and last segments stuck with me (the last one truly terrified me) and the creature effects in the third segment were some of the best I've seen in quite some time.

Would definitely recommend this one to most people in this thread. It's not flawless, but it's very enjoyable and interesting to say the least (definitely more so than, say, Southbound). I really want more people to talk about it with haha
