I think those picks are all fair.

 

I would actually be interested in seeing their streaming/purchases numbers since 2015 compared to what they were before. I agree with you that I think the Trio did see an increase in streaming/purchases but I wonder just how much.

The original question was if they are going to be much bigger and I don't think they're going to release a new album and then suddenly do a big venue summer tour but I wouldn't be surprised if their next album out sells their previous. I just don't think Matt being in blink now will make the common fan go out and buy the new Trio album or go to the show just because Matt is in the band unless they have that real break through radio friendly song and the band gets hot.

The blink name is what sells, not any of the individual members. Which is why none of the side projects like AVA, +44, BCR really took off. AVA is the most well known side project and even when they were at their peak in terms of popularity they weren't head lining venues like blink would. It was mostly much smaller venues/clubs.

That AVA stuff isn't really accurate. When "whisper" first came out I did see them in a small club a few days before album release. But later in 2006 or whenever they had TBS as direct support they played an amphitheater in MA that blink would play as well. I will agree that a few years later in 2008-9 it did seem like they were regressing in popularity. I saw them with Say Anything in Rochester in a club-ish sized venue and it wasn't sold out.

 

Not that it matters but I'm a dude, lol.
