For lunch today I went to this little Indian restaurant that's a few blocks from me and had a couple tikka rolls. So many good little restaurants like this around me, one of the only reasons I like working in the city.

 

Anyone ever tried Fry Sauce? Mayo and ketchup mixed 50/50...I always add a little Sriracha but I've heard Fry Sauce is a West Coast thing...

 

for lunch i had a 1 dollar sub at Jimmy johns. So good

 

I thought about this until I saw the line extending out the shop, down the street, around the corner and down another street.

 

@Kiana was asking about this several pages back, i think most of us didn't know what it was.

 

oof our line was a little shorter, but it went by really quick! a sandwich and a pickle for under 3 bucks, worth it IMO

 

Granted there's only like 2 or 3 of them in the center city area here so Im sure they were all packed with people going out at lunch looking for a quick and cheap bite haha.

 

I didn't know about the $1 sub thing until now, or I would have gone. Apparently one of my co-workers went

 

What are the rules and when/how often does it happen?

 

just today, from 11-3pm? I think? only available for subs #1 - #6 + JJBLT, and all slim subs

 

I'm in Idaho and it's extremely popular...almost all Burger joints offer it, some with a bbq sauce base but great for someone who isn't a Ketchup fan like myself...

 

Interesting, I've personally never seen it here in Houston. Even Texas for that matter.

 

Never heard of fry sauce, but it sounds interesting. I love Sriracha, though. Hot fries are the best!

 

This place gets a lot of the credit for the popularity here...fry and sauce combos are almost infinite...

Good lord that's alot of fry options, most of them i've never even heard of.

 

Yeah when ppl say fry sauce is just ketchup and mayonnaise I'm like you need to eat the right fry sauce! The combos are endless!! The pink sauce in some burgers was always my fave part so essentially just dipping fries in that seems like a no brainer

 

Great burger too...all about fresh.

 

I thought this was called Fancy Sauce?

 

Getting into this thread was a bad idea...starting now and 2 hrs left in the work day. Great.

if any of you guys are in seattle, you should come to Rachel's Ginger Beer on Capitol Hill... they offer like 20 different fry sauces

 

Sauces/condiments are my favorite part of every meal.

 

I'd rather just have my fries disco'd.

 

Sometimes I get a side of sauce with my meal, like Canes sauce or bbq or whatever and dip a few fries in it and it's fine, but fries just sent the same without ketchup

And I get not liking ketchup, I don't put it on much else and it smells terrible if you leave it out for any length of time, but fries just need it

 

I love ketchup, mustard, and mayo.
