Got around to watch Norm's latest special. The man is a genius. He just has this was of pointing out absurd but obvious things and delivering them in the most brilliant deadpan style.

As I am reading The War For Late Night and have learned more about his unparalleled admiration in recent years, I wish some service would stream old Letterman. While I was always a Conan guy, bored to tears by Leno, I saw Letterman as the grouchy guy on the old people channel. Now I can't help but feel I missed a lot. Granted a lot of it has to do with age, it would be cool to look back and see what I missed.

He's right about that

 

He's annoyed me since one of his YMIW eps. He earnestly discussed walking into traffic to learn about nihilism, as if that made him a philosopher or something. All this after a discussion of his spat with Michael Bay, so it was a hilarious contrast.

 

He's definitely VERY candid in that interview, but I think it would be considerably different if you were listening to the audio instead of reading it. There's a ton of jokes in there that come out totally wrong when you're not actually hearing him deliver it.

The latest episode of podcast My Dad Wrote A Porno, had me crying laughing in work. A bit awkward to explain what i was listening to but thankfully someone had heard of it!!!

 

I haven't started up the new season yet. Need to get on that.

 

That new CBB is a gutbuster and a nog rattler. That silence after Hamm says "Nickelback" is golden.
