Meltzer mentioned during this morning's Observer Radio that the neck injury Io Shirai mentioned as her reason for taking time off and leaving Stardom is legit. Some were thinking it was a work to explain her leaving for WWE. He says it was found that she's had the neck injury since May and WWE found it during medicals in Pittsburgh. Meltzer says that Shirai is still coming to WWE once she recovers, but that it will probably be "quite a while" before she is recovered.

 

But plans can always change

Picking SANADA to win the whole thing.

 

This year is going to be extremely interesting. I still think Naito wins, but there's a lot of directions they could go in. Part of me wonders if Omega beats Okada, but Okada wins the whole thing and challenges Omega at WK with the series tied 1-1-1.

 

I think there is a definite possibility we get a surprise winner. I don't think it will be any top guys. Kenny, Tana, Naito, and Okada don't need the win here. I would say they give it to someone they are trying to elevate I think Juice and SANADA definitely have strong outings. It'll be interesting to see which direction they go with the US title. I think the implications of that might say a lot about G1. I also think that we have someone challange Tanahashi rather that Okada. Gedo knows that Okada/Omega is his big money match for WK. They can go with your scenario at the G1 to lead to the WK match.

There are really a million ways this booking can go. CANNOT WAIT.

Jim Ross and Lita are calling the Mae Young Classic. Hopefully they do some heavy editing. Lita isn't meant for live broadcast. Really wish it had been Alundra or Sara Del Rey.
