I've had a chance to listen a few more times now on that BBC link - this song is great. So damn catchy. Lines have been stuck in my head since my first listen and I have no idea what Brandon is even singing yet.

 

it's not too far off from the sound of the desired effect which I liked more than any killers record so that's a good thing

 

Reminds me a lot of Talking Heads, I dig it.

This new song is so 70's.

Unfortunately, It'll have to grow on me. Some parts are annoying upon first listen.

Shall see if it grows on me.

Inside the Killers' New Album: 'It’s the Closest Thing We’ve Done to Sam’s Town'

Definitely an attention-grabbing statement for me.

Edit: So I guess we can add "Rut", "Life to Come", and "Tyson vs. Douglas" to the tracklist, which brings it to around eight so far.

 

Sam's Town is my favorite Killers album, so this makes me very happy.

 

It's mine too. Solid all the way through. and the demo that never made it, "Peace of Mind", is one of my favorite tracks from this band.

 

I like The Man but the rest of the album is going to have to be really fucking good for it to come close to Sams Town for me. I already am not really excited for a song with a title as clunky as "Tyson vs Douglas"

 

The way the quote reads it seems he's saying it's like "Sam's Town" in regards to cohesiveness, not sonically.

 

Word on the street is that the Killers will be playing a secret set on the John Peele stage at Glastonbury on Sunday. Unconfirmed, but we shall see.

 

For anyone interested, it's official. Here's the livestream if you have access/proper plug-ins. One of the initial reports was that they wanted to premiere some new stuff, so let's see to what extent that is.

What a handsome fucker. The Killers are a talented group of guys but I've always been surprised they didn't blow up even bigger based on the Flowers' appeal alone
