Ok so I know the plastic screen protectors were garbage and pointless, but does anyone know anything about the tempered glass ones? Positive reviews but could just be confirmation bias from people who just haven't treated their phones like shit.

I got one as a gift, so I'm gonna use it, but do we have any proof they actually do anything?

 

I used one a few years back and it just slowly chipped away on the side and was a mess to remove. Never again.

 

I have a glass screen protector on and I barely even notice it's there. I know a lot of people hate them in here but I like it.

 

I like it better without the screen protector. Doesn't the iphone have gorilla glass? I've dropped my six numerous times with no cracks.

 

I've had them and found swiping to feel rougher than the screen. also I've never cracked my screen but both my wife and I cracked our protectors with a couple months of putting it on. They've been without it for awhile and neither of us have had any cracks. While I think they work I think your better off with a case that gives space between the screen and how it rest so that if you do drop it on the ground the screen never comes in contact with it.

 

Why is it the delivery truck never arrives before 4PM when expecting new toys? >_<

As for glass, I'll be putting the HDX Glass or whatever the top one is from Zagg. Never had an issue with the feel/look on previous phones.

 

if you are dead set on a glass screen protector I used Peel's before and liked it but I'm probably done with protectors.

 

We don't have it in the UK but does The TV App auto play next episode in TV series yet?

 

Once I hit play it opens the app and starts the episode automatically for me and then is like however you have it set up in the app

 

Yes, but it doesn't work correctly a good portion of the time.

I run into issues where the time stamp is off. For example last night I was watching the Simpsons (FX) on my iPad and it was starting each episode 14 minutes in. Last week I was watching Boardwalk (HBO) on my Apple TV and not only was it not autoplaying the next episode, but after the show ended the next episode wasn't even queuing up in the "Next Up" list or whatever.

I don't know enough about it to understand if these are examples of a TV App issue or Provider App issue (the TV App isn't hosting the data it's just organizing it) but I'd assume that because I've had trouble with shows from multiple different providers that this is on the TV app side of things.

Going from a 5S to 6S Plus sized screen is quite an adjustment to make... holding this will take getting used to.

 

I made that same jump when the 6 Plus first came out a few years ago and couldn't stand it. Using a regular-sized 7 now.

 

just got a used 7 plus after my phone broke to tide me over until the possibility that I'm enticed into the new 8

 

The earpods worked great on my trip to London. Whether it being podcasts/music to making calls.

The minor negative is that i wish all media apps would resume play once i put back in my ear. Maybe this is something i can change somewhere, i am not sure.

 

Damn that's a good deal. I picked one up off eBay a month ago for around $75 - if you do have the 9.7 Pro and haven't gotten the keyboard yet it is very tough to find one in stores now that the 10.5 is out.

 

I finally subscribed to Apple Music today.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked or if I'm missing something that's obvious - in regards to the iCloud Music Library, while on iTunes, can I uncheck the songs I don't want on my phone so they won't download? I don't necessarily want every song from my iTunes on my iPhone

 

When I turned on iCloud Music Library, it removed all my music from my phone and I manually selected the stuff I wanted to download on my device.

 

iCloud Music Library messed up almost all of my album artwork.

 

iCloud Music Library has actually corrected most of my album artwork (on my iPhone, I haven't checked iTunes yet)

 

I do not like iCloud Music Library changing my metadata.

do I need some sort of dongle to be able to plug in and use USB devices with my iPhone 7 plus?
