They aren't that bad, no. They just aren't particularly useful.

  4. Even accepting the idea that leftists on social media made lots of people not vote for Hillary, there's no way that gulf isn't made up by having a competent campaign or being not Hillary Clinton

Well, here is the thing, leftists do do that, only to be met with the criticism that it is "unrealistic" or "not where the country is". So, you want allegiance, but the fact of the matter is, democrats despise left-wing ideas more than they hate fascism precisely because the former runs against the interests of those that comprise the party's donors and elites. There are a number of people here who have been excited about Corbyn in England. He is the leader of a major party. The reason isn't some weird hypocrisy; rather, it is because of his policies. Radicals I know have joined the Labour Party because that is where the left is now. If you want the same sort of excitement, and effort, perhaps it might be time to put actual leftists with principles in charge of the party and allow them to remake it.

They're okay. Not as nutritious as green beans though. I make a mean pan of green beans, soaked in way too many spices.

No, they don't do that. The person accepts most or all of their policy position and the left shrugs and says "oh well too bad still not good enough"

Meh, perhaps. Though you can bet we'll be seeing viral tweets calling Harris "just as bad" as Clinton when the time comes.

Green beans + onion powder + garlic powder + Cajun spice + salt + pepper cooked on the stove for 3-5 minutes is gold.

This is just so far from the truth I don't even feel like talking about how good green beans are with too much seasoning. And that there's also no such thing as too much seasoning.

What it means: I’m not mad at all … nope, not one bit. That crushing feeling inside when I contemplate the thousands of strangers telling me I’m an awful person … that’s actually funny tome.

  13. normally I'd regret starting this food discussion but the conversation prior to that was worse, so

I hope Ossoff pulls this off. I asked my sister to switch her registration bc she lives in the 6th but has never been political and I asked her and her boyfriend to vote for him lol She said lines are huge.

Hahahaha. This has never happened. Case in point: the democratic base is anti-war and the party is not

Well, I will criticize bad positions, because it is not my job to make a candidate more marketable and I'm not interested in tolerating inhumane conditions. But, if your idea of engaging a critique of prison slave labor is "you're so hyperbolic that you make it sounds like she eats children" instead of, like, the normal progressive response of "shit, that's pretty bad," I think this illustrates a significant divide in positions.

No, I think it illustrates a divide in strategy and observations of the previous election cycle.

Also, not "make it sounds like", people actually use that language

Lol....Doesn't exactly get to me when a guy who has verbally endorsed the murder of millions of poor people for 'the good of the cause' regardless of whether or not they want his revolution, and the re-education of millions more until they agree with you or die, claims I'm an 'awful person'.

Truly am just getting a laugh out of how much a simple smartass faux-troll comment gets the bee hive angry after the same people told others here to chill out over the 'Bernie would have won' comments.

i may get better but we won't ever get well Prestigious

OK. You are welcome to vote for whom you see fit. But when people criticize a candidate for doing shitty things, maybe just agree that they should not do those shitty things. It should not be a hard bargain to drive that a Democrat support a living wage, or the reduction of prison labor, or not using indentured servants at their government funded mansion.

I mean, I've literally never seen that before, certainly not by any leftist actually discussing policy. If you see it, tell that person that it's hyperbolic, but otherwise, I don't really know why you're telling me it since I didn't use that language so I can't really help.

  23. @David87 maybe don't make "faux-troll" comments if you want people to discuss in good faith

on that note, Kamala Harris would have won

Dom used it 3 pages ago. And you went full on slavery. Which we agree it technically is, but there are much better ways to articulate it that won't have people calling Harris a plantation owner in 3 years.
