I'm actually gonna re-record the vocals for both of my covers, so disregard the one's I've sent in.

 

Really looking forward to hear what everyone has done with their picks. I am using these covers as a chance to try out new stuff I have never done before. This time my track will be based mostly on synths and I am using a vocoder for the first time ever!

 

I think originally it was supposed to be passed to me but it never got changed on the list. I'm in Las Vegas for the week at job training, so I can try and do a cover using garage band on my iPad. Could be cool.

 

Am I sending my songs to a different email now?

 

Same email. Only thing that has changed is the person managing it at the other end.

I'm going to be dedicating time on Sunday to doing mine.

 

Finished tracking all the necessary instruments today. Tomorrow I'm going to do vocals, maybe add some synth, mix and submit. This extension really got me motivated to make this the best I can. Thanks @bradsonemanband and @Damien Davies!

 

I'm tapping out, won't be able to finish it in time.

 

I'm moving house, so my cover is a live recording of me in my empty living room/bedroom with queued up instruments from my laptop. I sound like I'm playing live to no audience.

 

Just sent my song in! :)

 

I recorded and submitted a cover of You've Got So Far To Go on a whim tonight. I didn't see it claimed. It was fun! Go easy, I haven't tried this since the Thrice comp and it was very rushed. Oh, and recorded using my computer's built in mic, haha. I think it sounds pretty darn good under the circumstances!

Excited to hear everyone else's songs.

 

Also tapping out, not in a good mindset due to other life stuff at the moment unfortunately. Look forward to hearing other entries though.
