I am so enamored

 

I can't wait to see my better half this August. The disadvantage of having a long distance relationship is being far away from each other for too long.

 

Another Friday, another chance I've taken to make a tool of myself.

I was at a meetup last night and generally behaving (or at least, not flirting with anyone), then this really pretty woman ends up joining the conversation. It starts off all silly enough, but then we end up talking to each other a bit (all still mostly silly stuff and attempts to make each other laugh) and then she asks me what my type is. Cue a terminal loss of composure.

Obviously, being the incredibly well spoken and smooth individual I am, I manager to answer with something like:

"Ermmm, that's going to be really awkward, because I'm about to basically describe you."

Was about to discuss how I found out my ex-bestfriend and ex-girlfriend (ya, they dating) are actively trying to ruin my identity to everyone they meet and like it's been like three years since I dated her and when everything went to shit.

BUT

They are lowlifes still stuck on high school drama and I am meeting hella great people and doing a lot of cool things like activism and playing in bands and university and shit.

ANYWAY

I just started listening to PINEGROVE and now I think I moved on from my crush (since she is already in a happy relationship, I hope so, she is a pretty great person) and accepted that'll she just be a good friend. Yeah, that was a direct result from listening to Pinegrove. Life is wild.

I can't really remember. She asked me to describe what that would be, so I told her petite, pale and brunette or something to that effect. I think she found it quite funny that she'd accidentally put me on the spot. I was surprisingly flustered by the whole thing.

 

I've posted in here before about how I was in an LDR & we broke up last month. Well anyway a few days ago I decided to delete everything related to her. All the pics she sent me, all the messages we sent each other, etc. I don't know if that was a smart thing to do but really, I don't know what else I have to do. I just have to forget about her but that's obviously far easier said than done. I feel kind of pathetic for this taking such a toll on me but she was my beacon of hope in life & now that she's gone everything sucks.

 

You should be proud of yourself for doing that, it's not easy. And it's definitely a huge step, good on you man. Keep your head up.

Obviously never watch anything comedic with James Franco in it with parents. wish i could have met up with yall. i was in south texas on vacation this weekend. did texas treat you well?

 

My fiancee and I have disagreements like any other couple, but I think we really might be done this time. We had quite the argument yesterday, and some really awful things were said, and there are definitely some long term concerns with the things that were said.

I'm absolutely gutted. Her two kids live with us, as well, and I've grown to consider my son along with those two my three sons.

 

No worries man, I was with family almost the entire time so I didn't get a chance to meet up with anyone this time. It was good! Stuffed my face with in n out, lockhearts, etc.

I think I need to move down here because in the 5 days I've been here I've gotten almost as many matches on tinder as I did in a month back home haha

 

That's a huge and necessary step. I'm dreading the possibility of having to do this soon

 

What happened?

 

I was married before and lived in the same house with my ex. When we got divorced, I got to keep the house.

My fiancee has always kind of "thrown it in my face" that she'll only get married once. I've always just brushed it off.

She moved into my house recently when her lease came up on her place, and we planned long term to buy a house of our own, and would save for now. Naturally, every so often mail comes to my place for my ex. (Especially spam mail) I still get mail for the previous owner from 10 years ago, so this never seemed like a big deal, I would just toss it.

Last night when I was at work she texted me to say "Your wife got mail" I can't stand my ex, she knows this. I brushed it off, but she just kept going about it, as I said it's pretty standard for some random mail to come for anyone who previously lived somewhere, and referenced the fact that her ex would get mail still at her old place. Then it became "That's different" because they weren't married so it wasn't coming as their shared last name. I told her how I had never thought anything odd of him getting mail there, but she continued with the "you can't compare the two"(Even though this is the man she had two children with)

Edit: she also said "If I was divorced I'd make sure there was no mail coming to my ex" still not willing to recognize that her ex getting mail at her place was extremely comparable

Then, she went on to say "well when we file for our marriage certificate, hopefully you're actually divorced" insinuating I was still married to my ex. Then when I told her how out of line that was she said "all I said was we'll see then if you're actually divorced" and I told her, that's not an opinion, that's a fact that we're divorced, to which she replied a third time "I guess we'll find out if that's true soon"

Then she said she'd talk to me later, and was proceeding to ignore my future texts, and I told her "before you start ignoring my texts, I need to tell you how hurtful it is that you refer to someone who I can't stand as my wife, and accuse me of not even being divorced because of a piece of mail. I never said anything when your ex got mail" to which she kept on with the "that's different" I told her she needs to figure out she can handle that I have a past marriage, because I feel like there's a deeper seeded issue than a piece of mail. We haven't spoken since that conversation around dinner time last night.
