I feel like what Martin Luther King said resonates particularly in situations such as this: I" think that we've got to see that a riot is the language of the unheard."

Crushing austerity, cuts to the NHS and social care, and now this, are all violence that is visited upon the poor and working-class. This was bound to happen, so long as they were going to be relentless in their social darwinism.

I wonder how long until another election with chants like this:

Grenfell fire protesters descend on Downing Street chanting 'May must go'

Surely she can't last much longer with all this going on. Dread to think which Tory goons will step up next though, have to presume Boris will be one of them.

I saw that earlier. It's hard to watch someone clearly in pain but it's good to see a politician that cares so much.

Just watching bbc news, and Theresa May has not learnt a goddamn thing from this last week. She can't answer a single question without some bullshit pre-prepared soundbite. You'd have thought after a humiliating election and being heckled as a coward on the streets you'd learn some humility. Resign, you fucking disgrace.

Master of not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

It's now to the point that if May and perhaps the Conservatives as a whole don't step down from power we'll be looking at the safety of the nation as a whole at risk. This is not leadership. This is a fucking disgrace.

    hmmm

Praying this doesn't evolve into riots or anything of the like.

Been speaking to a friend in London who went down to volunteer last night. She does quite a lot of charity work, went over to the Calais jungle a few times, things like that, and so said she was expecting the same sense of camraderie, but apparently there's nothing but anger in the air. Streets are full of people. Sounds like it could really boil over.

She is unbelievable. Not learnt a thing. How terrible for those people and for this country.

Thanks for the info. It's good to hear almost directly from the ground.

Watched that interview with Theresa May before bed last night and it left me full of disgust. Protest at Downing Street in a few hours - wonder how that will go down.

I give May a week. If she's here past the Queen's speech there'll be riots, mark my words.

Haha, love it. Feel like this is slightly harsh on Ed Milliband though. He's admitted he tried too hard to bring along the 'Blairites' but judging by his more recent record I think he had good intentions. Just not the best or most compelling opposition leader at the time!

Wonder if Corbyn would have got a look in if the party went down the David Milliband route instead of Ed?

Probably not, but then I don't think the party would be the electoral force it is now either- we'd probably have got in in 2015 but we'd be facing a wipeout after that, in the same way the centrist parties in Spain, Greece and France have.

I am heading to London tomorrow and hoping to avoid any riots! EXCEPT THAT OF THE PARAMORE RIOT @ ROYAL ALBERT HALL. sorry... I'll leave.

Even the Daily Mails running a front page saying May should go. I'd be surprised if she's still PM by the end of this week.
