Out of curiosity, is there a song in their catalog that you would like to hear something more similar to? Or are you looking for something completely different? Personally, I'd vibe off some Reckless Abandon or even Up All Night shit!

Well my favourite blink stuff has always been very Tom heavy but in terms of where I'd like them to go now I'd love more stuff like "Feeling This" or "Stockholm Syndrome". Very much led by dual vocals with a good amount of energy but still more of a darker/mature tone than their early pop punk stuff. I always thought Mark's parts in those two songs were fantastic, especially his bridge in "Feeling This".

I hope there's a couple songs with 50/50 vocal duties between Mark and Matt, those and Mark led songs have always been my favorite of blinks.

Dude you're so right. I love the Tom heavy songs too, and the back and forth vocals has been something I've always wanted for my own band. Never worked out though haha. They pull it off so well though!

I think it's a difficult thing to do, especially combing different melodies on top of each other like at the end of "Feeling This" but when it works it's fucking magic and it was always one of my favourite parts of Blink.

Putting Tom's vocals aside (for better or for worse), I think his guitar playing is why I'm so happy he's out of the band. His post-reunion sparkly guitar parts were the sole reason Neighborhoods and DED didn't click with me. Chunky palm mutes and massive guitar riffs were left by the wayside, in favor of super thin and weak guitar lines. There were a couple of exceptions, but anything remotely interesting guitar-wise sounded like it came from Mark.

I am equally excited to hear Skiba's guitar work as I am to hear his vocals.

Also.. that podcast with Feldmann will be fucking killer!

Listening through to Neighborhoods, (I apologize for constantly bagging on it) but holy shit, can you imagine MH 4.18.2011 in the same vein as the production in Every Time I Look for You?

I still really enjoy the song, but fuck.

That's already my favorite song off neighborhoods, with better production it would be killer.

I truly believe that, "Everytime I Look for You," is the perfect mix of summer fun and serious. If they put out jams with a similar vibe I'll be completely satisfied.

The guitars on MH sound so lifeless :(

Though, if I had to guess, MH is the closest thing we'll get to what the new Blink will sound like. Just a shot in the dark.

Also, Chris Holmes' production is best suited when doing something closer to +44 like Fighting the Gravity or Kaleidoscope.. which makes sense.

Neighborhoods as a whole sounds so lifeless, imo. One of the biggest, "what if's," I have when it comes to Blink is what would Neighborhoods sound like if Finn had produced.

So what are the odds that tom makes a big announcement on the same day the single is released?
