Think I'll dust 'em off, put 'em back up on the shelf

 

Hahah I like the song but is it boring by their standards? Definitely. It also feels so out of place with the rest of the record.

 

Why? It's just as poppy as the songs before and after it. I think it fits what they're doing on this album well.

 

I feel like most of the songs on this album have verses that only serve to take up time before the super catchy choruses kick in. Theres no denying this album is catchy and has enjoyable melodies, and lots of instrumentation, but somehow it still feels empty. I initially thought this album was gonna be too stripped down, which was worrisome, but it turned out overproduced and lacking an overall feel. I cant quite find the words to explain what I mean, sorry.

 

Interesting little album, which is nowhere near as bad as this thread made it seem, so WHEW. After one listen it's definitely enjoyable, but probably won't end up a favorite overall.

I thought the same thing at first, but after the catchyness wore off, I found myself not caring much for it at all

 

Not sure of a nice way to say this, but you're kinda bringing this thread down. Look at the last few pages and it;s just negativity from you. I get that you don't like it, and that's more than ok, but I don't know how many more posts we need from you saying that

Truly not trying to be mean, but this thread has been a downer for a little while

 

Again, it's not bad but it doesn't do much for me. Feels like a middle of the road PTM album at this point.

 

Meh, just a little bummed about it and thought this was a board for discussion as I'm sure there are others who agree with me. Needed a place to vent about it, but I'll take off and let yall enjoy it. No worries, and no hard feeling about it, I don't wanna ruin it for anyone

Nah, I get it, there's a ton of shit I don't like and a lot of bands that disappoint me too, not trying to diminish your opinion. It was more of the pure number of comments I think, haha

Just finished it and it's pretty middle of the road for them. I like it and all but I was hoping for a little more.

 

As someone who got into them with Evil Friends, this might be my second favorite of theirs. All the rest of their albums get a little too samey for me.

 

Mr. Lonely is really the only song I can't get into. I'm cool with everything else.

 

My 5 year old really likes the chorus in feel it still... I don't know if that's what they were going for

 

Didn't they release a weed strain and call it Feel It Still haha

Feel It Still is almost constantly stuck in my head and is perfect. I've listened to this album about 4-5 times today and I love it. Early standouts: all of it.

 

Nope. I actually really dig it, and Fat Lips part actually works.

 

You ever listen to Waiter? Definitely unlike any other album

 

"Live in the Moment" and "Rich Friends" could and should be huge.

The first ten seconds of "Keep On" really remind me of a Nirvana song. Possibly "Teen Spirit"? Not sure but those first ten seconds always make me think of a Nirvana guitar line.

Love this album. Wish it was a few songs longer.
