Mine's 30 minutes but they're not all that strict about getting back on time. I bring my lunch or eat in the cafeteria bc there's no time to go and get something.

  2. Ah that's rough then, my company is like 100 people.

So frustrated with this problem I'm having at work right now. I know there isn't anything I can do about it because Microsoft Office programs are the worst.

Well, my job is to assist the owner with special projects and because the two managers are downstairs and take care of the day to day operations and the majority of the staff are out in the field, the office is just the four of us. The owner just sort of leaves me be to work on the stuff he needs me to do and to practice SmartDraw, so I'm generally left on my own.

Yeah I need my hour lunch to be alone. And not inside the office.

I haven't had a lunch break in years. When I did have them, I'd listen to music and may whatever god you believe in help you if you interrupt me when doing so.

I work 8 hours and my lunch break is 30 minutes. I eat at my desk. Almost everyone in my office does. I don't like the break room cause idk anyone else who works in the building aside from my tiny office and I don't like feeling obligated to make small talk with them. I usually have time to flex so my lunches can be longer if I want.

When I worked at Six Flags we had 30 minute lunch break, that were supposed to start once we arrive at the employee cafeteria, no one really informed me of this until right around when I put my two weeks in, so I'd haul ass to the cafeteria and eat as fast as possible since it was near a 10 minute walk to there from the building I worked at.

BUT REALLY the pressing issue is how underrated Ricky Martin is. A gay man of color who has been making consistent jams since he was in Menudo in the 80's like COME ON. And he won another grammy last year like what a king. Keep on bopping, Ricky!!

People like this make me question why I keep working in the service insustry.

My other favorite instance from today was when a patron asked me the difference between a platter and a sandwich. After I explained to him the difference he still didnt understand. To be fair he could have been stoned but if you dont understand the basic concept of a sandwich then I can't help you.

trying to export a doc from publisher to PDF. the file is 11/17. I need it to have crop marks and bleeds after being exported. I can get them to appear before it exports, but once it opens as a PDF they are gone. I have tried everything google has to offer to no avail.

I work 8-hr days in a screen printing shop and take half hour lunch breaks where I eat a bagged lunch more or less in my work area. I don't mind.

To be clear it feels like I don't do anything for 6 hours a day, I supervise 4 people and only one speaks English, and I snack throughout the day at my desk in a private office so taking a lunch feels weird. I've told my boss to just charge me the 30 minutes but he wont do it unless I actually clock off to eat and have a meal lol.

On a 16 hour shift I get two 30 minute breaks and three 15 minute breaks.

A 16 hour shift sounds awful other than the paycheck you probably get from that.

I'd take an hour. go out to eat, which took about 20 min, then park my car in this neighborhood next to work and take a nap for 30 or so minutes.

I do part time at libraries at night and some the stuff they use is dreadful. I have no idea how they manage with what they do.

Also, my job was pretty unsupervised and I never had any actual work to do, so I took some.. liberties. Especially when the boss was gone which was often (for meetings and whatnot).

It really sucks but I don't have to work 5 days a week to hit 40. From 7pm to 12am I get paid time and a half and they give us overtime a lot bc we're short staffed. My paycheck makes up for it tho.
