I haven't seen it on the news, but I don't really see the news on tv anymore to be honest.

 

Is this gonna be like a tv special again?

 

You can be murdered in villages in places like Iran and Iraq (I think) for just having lived in a Western countries. This could be manslaughter for this administration.

I had an Iranian woman in one of my grad classes who said if she ever returned to her village she would be killed for marrying a Christian and living in the US.

 

How will they react to this?

well i don't think we will ever know how someone will react to something until they do. but because they're so stubbornly conservative, they'll probably find a way to justify it or rationalize it and say "but obama and clinton", as if it's ok when it happens under GOP like it makes a difference.

That tweet kinda hits home for me too. I wish my dad had that reaction tbh which I know sounds fucked up to say but instead, my family just watched the news about deportations stressing him out and he spiraled out into debilitating depression. no one knows what to do or say because we all know the truth is anyone can get deported. he left and I don't know where is he anymore and I completely understand people who have that mindset of "if you're deported, it's your fault somehow" because if this is the alternative...idk. A ignorância é uma benção.
