Didn't realize Kimbrel has been lights out this season. Glad he's dealing again. Miss him in Atlanta. Mostly because the Braves were pretty good those years he was there.

 

My grandfather, a rabid Braves fan, is in hospice care in Jackson, MS and is expected to die within a few days. I drove down here today to say goodbye. He doesn't respond verbally when you talk but he does move his eyebrows and facial muscles when you talk to him, which my dad thought was his way of responding. At first I was unconvinced he was actually understanding your words and responding to them...but then I told him that the Braves won 13-2 today and he responded more than I'd seen him do yet, even making a noise in the back of his throat. Now I'm convinced he both hears and understands us.

In a day when baseball was in the headlines for the worst of reasons, I thought that some of y'all (especially the Braves fans) might appreciate that.
