I thought May was a kind of slow month, then put together my list of favorites and decided it was actually good.

May was one of the best months in a long, long time. Four out of my top five came out this month. Great month.

 

I was gone for a while this month and am still extremely behind on listening to new releases, my "to listen to" list is quite long right now

 

Cayetana's new record is fucking stupid good

 

Fantastic release that's inevitably going to go overlooked. This guy used to front a band called The Lonely Forest. My favorite songwriter.

 

Check out new Thomas Wynn and the Believers album! awesome new single "Wade Waist Deep" is soulful goodness

 

Really been enjoying Michelle Branch, Scale the Summit, Tigers Jaw, Vinyl Theatre, Halsey, Bleachers, All Time Low, Hazel English, Liam O'Connor, Heavy Things, End of the Dream, and Niia. Oh, and Brand New, of course. So good.
