the lesson from this will be that the left is violent, terrorists, etc and not that actively legislating to oppress and systematically kill workers, lgbt+, women, people of color, MENAs, global poor, etc will eventually lead to this.

 

Is there more on GOP? Like maybe about Bannon and Breitbart or the rep seat holder that we heard about with actual ties to white nationalist nazis

Unconfirmed but apparently the shooter asked if everyone on the field were Republicans or Democrats before shooting. Ugh.

I don't think it's been so long since Gabby Gifford's shooting that this can be made into a successful or credible attack on the left. Congressional Republicans have already been bringing her up and while it's really soon after a shooting to say it won't be politicized, I don't think the majority of Republican voters will jump to the conclusion that this means the whole left is violent. I hope it'll get more people talking about the effect partisanship has on the general public. It's not hard to draw a line between this kind of violence and the way each side of the aisle has demonized the other.

 

Thank god we dodged war-hawk Hillary.
