These black and white declarations make no sense. Of course the country can move one way in specific places and the other in others. To tie it all to FP makes no logical sense. And what is the left policy for FP? Isolationist? Protectionalist? I see arguments about FP gradients on the left all the time. From "humanitarian" policies to complete withdrawal and abandonment of FP altogether.
