  4. Bernie should run in 2020 as an independent. A win would forever cement the idea that running left is the way forward on the national level, deliver the knockout blow to the two party system, and prove once and for all he woulda won and there’s no need for the establishment and their money or apparatus. Seems like the ultimate way to prove he actually woulda won to be honest.

I love the fact that the centrists and neoliberal pieces of shit are a little scared by a left that is attempting to organize itself. They can't attribute the victories to the ideas, because that would mean ceding ground to the left, so they have to come up with a narrative that is both detached from reality and narcissistic.

I just worry that would split votes too much between Bernie supporters and other members of the left, guaranteeing another win for the right. In a perfect world, I'd love to see that.

  7. Oh, it absolutely would. That’s kinda my point. Heh. Both sides need each other, and neither wanna admit it.

    Fair enough!

  10. In 2017 politicians just own each other on Twitter all day in viral posts.

    Sounds about right.

I'd support this, if it weren't for the fact that Bernie will be like 80 at the time.

  12. I still think he’ll run at 80.

But, I’d put down a large amount of money he'd lose by a pretty massive margin running as an independent. Might have the best independent showing ever ... but would still lose in a landslide.

I wouldn't wager anything. Politics is too unpredictable these days. But, I don't see him running at 80. I could see Ellison trying his hand, though.

It is like they love both losing and being ineffective.

For all the talk about Democrats being losers it sure seems like the far left has had some issues with winning since at least the 60's, if not the 40's:chin:

Plus it would be really funny if his tweeting is what hurts him

  20. Mueller’s staff hirings and their credentials really lead me to think something is there, he’s hiring the best, with basically unshakeable resumes that will be very hard for either side to attack.

    Newt already attacked them lol

  22. The gains seen in the special elections so far for Dems in red districts are some of the best in quite a long time. The swing Ossoff is seeing is crazy right now.

I'm still uneasy, but he does have momentum on his side. But remember I was the most nervous one in here all during the late stages of the election lol, I trusted the numbers the least.
