I grew up with seven older sisters. The thought of menstruation not being a topical conversation is odd to me.

When i got my first period it was during a media covered E. coli outbreak so I thought I had E. coli and was going to die. I was 11 and I didn't tell anyone cause I was scared cause you know i was going to die. I didn't cry tho, but when I finally realized it was my period I sobbed prob cause I knew what was to come.

 

I was in the 4th grade and my mom wasn't home. I let out an earth shattering scream and was like I need to go to the ER. My dad was like oh shit what do we do..he went to the store and got an ass ton of feminine products. After I calmed down, my dad said “According to the lady at the store, It’ll happen every 28 days for the rest of your life. Don’t you dare even look at boys or I will murder you.” He couldn't get my mom on the phone so he asked a stranger lol

 

That's a terrible thing to say to a child

I worked at a local grocery store when I was a freshman in high school and I forget what I said, but I made an immature comment about the feminine products one day. At some point during my shift my manager and some of my female coworkers rightfully decorated my entire car with tampons, pads, and ketchup.
