Malkin had 28 points and Crosby 27. Malkin had a lot of 2nd assists. Wouldn't be mad with either of them getting it.

Pens basically took out 4 of my top 5 favorites for the cup... (The other team being the Oilers) But, yeah, congrats Pens.

 

A home cup win is what I normally cheer for. I was strongly cheering the Preds this time, and couldn't help but be bummed that Pittsburgh couldn't even celebrate at home.

 

By the way, the Preds will have an even better roster next year, believe it or not.

I would have been fine with either team winning, so congrats to all the Pens folk here. One thing that is impressive is how Guentzel, Sheery, Rust, etc have slotted into that lineup being mid round draft picks. It'll be hell trying to resign them in a few years with a flat cap (see: Hawks past 2 years), but that's how you have to do it in today's. NHL
