If Anthem really plays like that demo, which I'm a bit skeptical on, but if it does it will be ridiculous.

 

Of course, but literally every second of gameplay from Mass Effect and Dragon Age bores me to fucking tears.

By Tuesday it's just going to be 30 seconds of Mario Odyssey

 

Thoughts on MS:

- Forza 7 is Horizon is my jam. Looked stunning though.
- Metro on stage was awesome, game looked glorious
- AC looked good but I'm so behind on the series I need to skip to the newer ones or just give up at this point.
- Cuphead release date is later than I'd hope, but stoked it's 2017 and only $19.99. Day One
- The Last Night looked awesome, pissed the developer is seemingly a piece of shit.
- Playerunknown's Battleground is a huge win for them. Will snag this.
- Too much time spent on Forza and fucking car. Too much time was spent on Shadow of Mordor sequel.
- Deep Rock looked fun. Will keep my eyes on it.
- Stoked for State of Decay 2. Was hoping for 2017 launch. Pissed all we got was a long...trailer and not much else.
- Game with the guy screaming looked shit.
- Anthem looked like a blast. Will be checking it out most likely.

More thoughts later. Would give it a B or B+. Really wish they had a Quantum Break/Sunset Overdrive to announce

 

Kinda want to get an Xbox One X (dumb name) to take advantage of the 4K tv I recently aquired. Really stoked on State of Decay 2, Metro, and Cuphead. Kinda underwhelmed by Anthem which is disappointing because I was excited to see what that team was working on.

Also I was surprised to be really into the EA conference last night. I can see myself getting most of the games shown.

 

Honestly with this Xbox One X and PS4 Pro bullshit it better be at least 8 years until we get a new generation of consoles or I'm unhappy.

Have to say, though, props to MS for premiering the world's first straight edge game console.

 

Exclusives: Bottom Line=ridiculous. Just makes the games accessible for everyone.

 

Or the first Porn console or the first console dedicated to Vin Diesel.

 

The one hope I have for Anthem is that it has some kind of solid story throughout. I feel like that team and that world will be wasted if the game is just go to this place and fight this thing for some loot.

 

Honestly I'd be very ok with not getting a new generation for a long time. I don't feel like we need one.

Not their target audience but those were a lot of games (well, trailers), and some pretty cool titles, with some dragging moments.

 

2020 it will happen for sure.

 

I feel like even that's too soon. That's the earliest I'd be ok with though.

 

why is $500 ridiculous? did everyone forget the orig Xbox One was the same price? And it wasnt even close to worth that price imo

 

I think it's ridiculous personally because it's twice as much as a console that can play all of the same games just slightly better.

 

$500 was crazy for the original Xbox and it's especially crazy now when they're selling a box for half as much and the competition is also half as much/their pro console, albeit less powerful (which to the general consumer won't make much of a difference), is $100 less.

EDIT: I mean right now you could buy an Xbox One S AND a Switch for the same price as an X. Seems silly.

 

I'm cool with it being $499.

Side note: If you want to get early access to Sea of Thieves sign up for the Xbox Insider Program. You do need a Xbox One to do it though.

 

Is Anthem a timed exclusive? I'd be willing to shell out money for a second console if the gameplay is really really good.

The only real problem I have with og Bioware is the clunky combat which they've been really improving on over the years. So hope's up!
