The envy split is def on the upper end of all their releases, would love if they cultivated a whole release like that

 

hahahahaha i didn't remember it being that weird

 

Anybody going to the free show they're playing in Brooklyn on Sunday? I've RSVP'd for tickets, but I don't know how early I need to show to make sure I can get in. Anybody know the venue / know how busy it's likely to be etc?

 

@George I went to the show in McCarren park last night. I got there like 10 minutes before the opening act and there was almost no crowd at all (this one wasn't free though). I would expect that you can show up late with no issues.

Overall the area is relatively small so even if you come late you'll be able to see and hear all the bands. There were I think 6 food trucks and one bar.

Just drinking a beer and sharing a conversation over anything with Geoff would be a dream come true. He's such an inspiring person

 

He's so well spoken, I'd honestly love to sit down with him and have a conversation. Thursday means the damn world to me, and I'm just glad that such an awesome person is in the band.

I don't understand how he thought he was in a terrible band when he is literally in the best band ever.

 

That part made me sad but I totally get that insecurity too. I think I'd feel the same

Thursday played with seemingly everyone so it really could be anyone. I didn't know the last time I saw Thursday might be the last time I saw Thursday :(

The part where he mentioned youner bands coming up to him once they're gaining traction and being condescending was really sad and unsurprising. I instantly thought about the "beef" with Daïtro that happened just before Common Existence came out iirc.

 

It's also interesting to think they were brushing shoulders with a lot of the bands they did like and that those bands/people were so indifferent.

 

I've been considering getting another Thursday tattoo still haha. Already have the dove though

Wild to think both Thursday and MCR were both so looked down upon yet theyre probably pound for pound the best bands to come from that early 2000s emo/post-hardcore scene. Even now people are putting their hindsight glasses on and being like "oh yeah always loved those bands the best bands from that era"

 

I literally just got fake tattoos printed just as a trial before committing. Guess what I got guys

 

Geoff was addicted to heroin? Can't relate
