Lillian is my favorite +44 song for sure. I love the album, though.

 

No It Isn't is still the best +44 song IMO

"Not bad comparison, bit different" - when asked about the similarities to Adam's Song/Stay Together

 

I always loved the last uptempo part. I would have liked to hear them do the whole song like that. It's a brilliant song.

Gloomy and dark sounds good to me

 

The two songs have identical structures, clean guitar riffs, beautiful bridges, and very ballad sounding choruses. I'm hoping that some of those components are what people are talking about but not all of it.

 

Gloomy and dark is the literal exact opposite of what I want out of this.

 

Do they like the song?

 

Man, I was really hoping the first song they'd release would be along the line of Roller Coaster or The Rock Show. Fast, fun, summer song. After all the drama, that is what I'd like to hear for a first listen

 

Ditto. But I'm desperate so I'll take whatever.

 

They're a very busy person and usually respond with no more than 5 or 6 words at best, so I haven't really gotten any in depth thoughts, but the vibe I got from initially speaking with them was that they enjoyed the output. I'm always trying to find out more without becoming an annoyance, haha.

 

After the discussion on here yesterday about blinks best album, I've had enema on non stop. Flawless album.

 

Agreed. Front to back, that thing is perfect.

I prefer gloomy sad blink over happy fast summertime blink all the time so gimme that please.

 

Matt Skiba is involved, "gloomy and dark" is pretty much assured.

 

Some majorly divided opinions in here haha.

 

I know some of us have been saying that we'll only listen to "Bored To Death" three times at most, but guys... I don't think I'm going to be able to listen to it any less than a billion times before the album comes out. Unless it sucks. In that case, I'll only listen to it half a billion times.

 

A lot of people here are ready for gloomy and dark blink. Pretty surprising given that that's exactly how I would describe Neighborhoods and that's not a particular favorite among fans.. Granted, I understand that this will be a different "dark and gloomy" sound.

 

Yeah it's Skiba, I'm gonna assume more than half the songs released are more on the dark side. Imagine if like Ryan Key or Jordan Pundik joined the band.
