Why does it "look like he will" win California? Everything I've seen has him down and nothing this entire season shows me he's likely to win large population/highly diverse primary states. At least not with the margins he needs to get anywhere near the nomination.

Cruz hasn't been able to realistically reach 1237 for a while now. The "contested convention" path has been the path forward since at least mid march.

Its still fun to see all the Trumpies complain about contested conventions not being fair though.

As long as they let new registrations... I can understand an early deadline to switch registrations. You want to make sure people are switching to your party because they want to be in the party, not just so they can vote for someone who may not even match your party's values.

I don't know her personally (a few of my friends do, but she went to Wyo [rich person school]) but before she was always a staple at all the local shows. Saw her perform the national anthem at our local Reading Phillies baseball games like half a dozen times.

 

How would that be impeachable? Wouldn't that have to be approved by Congress first? If anything I can see it as being unconstitutional. I know Clinton was impeached not for infidelity inside the white house/taking advantage of an employee but because he lied about it on the stand.

It's pretty symptomatic of the larger failures of the democrats, in my mind. The blue dogs can't be blamed for doing what they were elected to do: be conservatives to appeal to the right.
