I'm in the ruralist of rural areas and staying with my friend at her grandparents. We're in Republican territory with fox news on and it's just awkward! All the bad comments they made in an hour omg. They asked what we wanted to do for dinner and when they found out that I was a vegetarian there was an audible sound of judgement!! We were gonna get a pizza but her grandpa was like "it's too complicated to get half a pizza with no meat. We can't get pizza." And I was like omg I'm sorry! Also it's really not complicated!! I feel so uncomfortable lol

 

Oh god that's the worst haha. I'm sorry!
I mean, there's cheese haha. It's also not complicated at all. But I've had that discussion so many times that I can't be surprised by it anymore.

I have new appreciation for my grandma! These grandparents are savage! Whining about food stamps and they straight up told my friend like you are too fat to sit here. They told her I should sit there instead since I was smaller and wouldn't break the China cabinet behind the chair. Like omg. My grandma is so warm and friendly and just watches her novelas and horror movies and talks about ricky martin's butt. I'm shoooooook

 

Aaaaand they used the n-word. Outtie. The grandma asked me my last name and then said "oh" in disapproval and we left. Whenever I know someone is racist I say my last name with more of an accent so they know lol.

My grandma is no saint but I'm gonna give her a big hug when I see her in a few weeks!
