  1. Yeah, I'm not sure. Wondering if it comes with the 7" or something?

Well, I still listen to CDs in my car, but I have a record player and would rather buy vinyl, so it's nice when there's a download that I can burn onto a CD.

I use a streaming service, however I still like to have a digital music library. A couple reasons. One, I've been keeping up with it forever and streaming services only started becoming relevant the last couple years. Two, streaming services don't have everything. Also, it's something I can share/collect/ even pass on one day.

For me I always give my download cards from vinyl to a friend who maybe wouldn't normally listen to that band. I have a lot of friends that still go CDs/digital, so it's a great way to introduce them to new music.

Didn't see anything about a 7". Hopefully the band will clear it up soon. Maybe they don't want to so they can drive more purchases through their site as opposed to Amazon, which I can't blame them for.

I don't use a streaming service for a few reasons. Been collecting CDs since I was like 7-years-old. Every CD I have is imported into my iTunes, which is then transferred to my iPod (yep, still use an iPod too). I stopped buying CDs in 2013 and started buying vinyl or just buying off iTunes. I don't know, it's just what I'm used to.

Also, most of my listening comes while driving, and I don't have unlimited data so that'd be a data killer, would it not?

cool answers. i used to not have an aux cord and i would buy cds and vinyl, so i get that for sure. digital collection to pass on, and giving them to friends, i can get behind all that as well. i collect vinyl, so i have a crap ton of download codes i havent used since i use spotify on the go.

definitely would be a data killer if you didnt have a large enough phone to save stuff for offline listening in spotify. my work doesnt have wifi and its slow here a lot, so i have unlimited.

I collect vinyl on top of my extensive digital library (audio and video) and Apple Music haha. I download shows/movies also, so it's nice to have all my music, movies, shows, etc. in one place. I usually just transfer movies/shows from my external HD to a USB; then I just plug the USB straight into my TV and can watch or listen that way.

With Spotify, you can download albums/playlists/etc and it won't use data. It doesn't take up a whole lot of space either.

  13. FYI: New bio with some more on the album here.

  14. Late pass (I fell asleep last night and somehow forgot about it until I saw the P4k article this morning) but this single is amazing, honestly think I like it more than anything on COPE/HOPE

I usually redeem my download codes, but I rarely unzip the files so just have a bunch of zip files sitting in my downloads folder. If I buy music these days it's usually on vinyl and if I'm listening to it outside of that I use Apple Music, even for stuff I've bought.

The lack of tempo changes in Cope automatically makes it my least favorite MO album, but I'm listening to it for the first time in awhile right now and MAN does it jam.

"The Gold" is incredible though. First thing that came to mind was The Dear Hunter, but it also reminds me of Come Wind's newest album. If this album is softer, I can see it being my favorite MO record yet.

Streaming services are mere licenses. Those songs can be removed at any moment (or that service can go away when something new or better comes around.) I use them frequently, because of the convenience, but I never forget what they are. If I love something, I want to own it physically and digitally.

Andy just responded to me on Twitter. "amazon will be regular black double vinyl, single sleeve. “deluxe” is a gatefold edition 180g black smoke vinyl and etching on side D."

    No Fun. Not Ever.

I was doing that for a while after my iPod classic took a dive. Started using Google Play music. Great app. Could upload up to 50,000 songs for free. Didn't have unlimited data, so I could only go so far with that.

Finally bought another iPod Classic a month ago and I've been so fucking happy. I'm really not a big fan of being tied down to a streaming service. Actually went camping last weekend and no one could find a signal. I ended up being DJ the whole time. Was pretty cool.

I absolutely adore my classic. Especially considering how so much of my listening consists of demos, b-sides and live bootlegs

Also, don't some artists do certain exclusives with certain streaming services? So you don't have access to all artists' libraries? I wouldn't be able to deal with that.
