    Why WYHSB intro is laughable?

Man, that's just my opinion, but this "tah-dah-dah", "tah-dah-dah" guitar melody in the intro seems a bit dumb to me. However, as I mentioned, vocal/guitar melody in the chorus (and in the verse as well) is amazing — great hook that stucks in your head. In Blink, there were a great verses/intros by Tom + great choruses by Mark. When guys went different roads each of their band lacked something.

That Kerramg article with Tom is so bad.

I am also happy for Tom to do what he really wants. Shame he couldn't have been a bit more honest with dragging his heels about a new Blink album though. I do think he has kinda vanished into his own head though!

I liked the +44 album but I found it a bit gloomy on the whole. And it lacked the guitar parts of a blink album to raise it up for me. It felt like a love / hate album about Tom really.

WYHSB is up there with Untitled as one of the best blink-umbrella releases

This! Although I gotta admit it took me years to get into WYHSB. After the initial breakup, I was totally rooting for Tom and liked AvA a lot more. But now, I find myself going back to +44 way more often than I do to the first two or three AvA albums. From the newer AvA releases I only listen to The Wolfpack, which is a great song. And the Chasing Shadows song of the new EP sounds really cool.

Leaving all the Tom-induced drama aside, it's still remarkable how much more output he has than Mark. Of course, quality goes over quantity, and most of the output is not very good..but still...

WYHSB is an album that took years to grow on me, but these days I'm loving it.

  9. Not really the 2 songs I was thinking new stuff would sound like but..if he's being accurate, maybe Bored to Death is a little bit darker? Could be cool.

It looks like 4/28 is when all radio stations will be playing it so maybe KROQ will premier it before then

I could go for some darker stuff. I mean they're not in their 20s anymore. Excited for this!

Those are two pretty depressing songs so for some reason I find the combination kind of funny in an "I laughed awkwardly and said 'what?' when I read it" sort of way.

I'm just waiting for a collab with other like minded musicians who are past their prime.

I hate the amount of interviewers who never use any follow up questions to answers they're given. They just move on to whatever they have written down next even if there's something clearly there to discuss.

  18. hmm... interesting. i was expecting an upbeat "Josie" kinda jam for the first single. i'll take anything though, haha.

    I am a haunted house. I'm superstitious.

The more serious-introspective songs they give us, the better.

Legitimately had a dream that their new "album" turned out to be a 6-song EP and all of them were bland mid-tempo rock songs and everyone rioted... Let's hope I was way off.

  21. Matt should be good for that. I bet he added some darkness to the new jams.

I'm hoping for that, honestly. I think Matt and Mark will blend perfectly when it comes to dark-themed song ideas and lyrics. As everyone was commenting above and in previous pages, the +44 album was a good example of that.

And talking about the Tom interview on Kerrang, I only read his answers regarding blink and new Angels music. I sincerely have no interest in anything else he has to say about To The Stars, his books, or any of his other projects.

I'm hoping the new blink album sounds like +44. That album rules.
