Dumb question, but does 1989 play better in pieces or as a full album?

 

i think it's fine in pieces. If I'm feeling poppy music, which admittedly isn't often, I'll skip through the ones I don't care for, listen to what I like, and move on to the next thing. Not too much of an emotional/holistic listening experience for me.

 

just listen to Blank Space and New Romantics, I know New Romantics is a bonus track which is crazy

I like driving to the whole album, but I also enjoy certain songs on their own at all times too.

 

I think it works great as a full album.

 

You Are In Love remains the best bonus track, but none of them are really better than most of the stuff on the album

 

1989 is ridiculously front loaded imo (besides wildest dreams)

 

New Romantics feels like a Charli XCX song

I always chop her albums into pieces cause i usually dislike about half the songs on each album. Fearless prob has the most songs I like tho

Oh shit, I just realized she did this on Katy's album release day. If Taylor out-streams her, and charts higher by some crazy chance.... I would die laughing, that would be the most savage thing ever

 

I just right now how a sponsored ad on Facebook to "listen to 1989 on Amazon," I'm totally feeling like this is a push to get 1989 to the top of the charts this week

 

i wonder if the spotify thing is coincidence or on purpose with katy perrys new album out today and the supposed beef between the 2
