Well if Lurie would have been smart and not had given Chip full control the Eagles wouldn't be such a shit storm right now.

 

What does full control given to Chip have to do with what is going on right now? While Chip had full control, they traded a 2nd round pick for Sam Bradford (While acquiring an extra 3rd and 5th this year). Nevermind any and all contracts that were signed, those can be figured out easily (i.e. Maxwell trade).

Howie Roseman was in Jeff's ear during the whole Chip Kelly era---in the end, Howie Roseman won and now we see what Howie Roseman is doing as he puts his vision forward.

In retrospect, yeah giving Kelly full control was a bad idea but with that, I don't get how you are liking the two situations to what is going on right now.

Chip the GM tried to trade a boatload last year for Mariota, which would have been perfectly fine but doing it this year for Carson fucking Wentz is mindboggling. If it was for Jared Goff, I could get behind it sorta but Wentz? No.

 

Does anybody know of a reputable company that offers customization on jerseys? Like, I could send in a jersey and have the name/numbers switched?

I know there is IceJersey for hockey stuff but anything of the sort for football? I'm trying to un-fuck my decision to spend $300 on a Demarco Murray elite about 8 months ago lmao.

 

If the Eagles think Wentz is a future star, they should do the trade. I know nothing about him and don't really have an opinion on what he'll end up as.

I just don't get why they'd resign Bradford and give Daniel way too much money and THEN ship out a ton of picks for Wentz/Goff. They could be trading up for a Tom Brady-Michael Vick lovechild and I still wouldn't get it.

 

Is Ryan Mathews really going to make a difference in the run game though?

 

That's the other part of it....The Bradford deal is easy to get out of (hell, they could place him on the block and try to trade him immediately if they draft a QB at #2 assuming they pull off a deal to get there).

The Chase Daniel thing still makes me ill. I admittedly don't know a TON on Wentz but what I do know just doesn't seem like it's worth trading everything to get him. I've seen plenty of Jared Goff to know he's legit but if he's going #1 then that idea quickly goes out the window.

 

Sure he will. They'll certainly be a RBBC because he's always hurt but splitting carries with another back to be named is just fine in today's NFL.

 

This is the part that makes no sense.

The Bradford thing has logic (its stretched, but its there)...Bradford was fine structuring a deal that might get traded, but in return he wanted 2 years of safety. So instead of just franchise tagging him, they did that deal. ANd it can be traded for no real long-term hit (they lose the cap money this year, get it back next year).

But, giving Chase Daniel so much money to, at best, be a starter this year and backup the next two years....that makes no sense. If his deal was RG3's deal (where he's easy to cut after one year), itd make a lot more sense

I'm not some great fan of it but at the same time, if you think its a franchise QB then there really is no price tag you can put on that because you are going as far as your QB takes you.

Man, just looking at the moves Philly has made over the last 2-3 years....

Chip guts the team of all their talent. The talent he got in return has been pawned off now that Chip is gone. And now they just traded all their picks for a Carson Wentz (after giving two QBs decent contracts).

Limited talent. No picks. Rookie QB.

 

Absolutely no chance in hell they gave up that package of picks for a guy who would probably still be available at their spot, and for a running back no less. That would be instant grounds for firing.
