He does use a backing track for vocals live. I have exactly 0 issues with that as long as he is still singing himself which he is

  4. The bass playing on "Goodbye" is so great. I also love the part in "Goodmorning" where the drums are panned completely to the right and vocals completely to the left.

Listened via headphones for the first time. Amazing. This is up there with The Greateat Generation as my favorite "concept" album, maybe even edging it out.

    This is a concept album?

And the Greatest Generation is a concept album?

    what a waste of wood

    That was super cool

  12. Awesome insight into his studio in that video.

Can't wait to see him again in a couple weeks and see how the new songs translate live. I'd be extremely content with any of the recent 14 song setlists... as long as "I Miss Those Days" is in there. My favorite from the new album by a decent margin.

  13. I listened to this album 3 times in a row today

I've listened to the album at least once everyday this week, and then I usually just pull random songs out from it throughout the day also. This is definitely my AOTY at this point.

Oh my god I want every artist ever to make a video like that for all of their songs. I am so inspired watching shit like that.

I just got an email from the Stone Pony that Shadow of the City is back this year... Sept. 10 with Bleachers, Brian Fallon, Nicole Atkins, Titus Andronicus, Brick + Mortar, Khalid and Tove Styrke.

Any idea where this charted and how much it sold? All I know is it didn't hit the top 10
