Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Still have never seen them. Something has always come up each time they come in. Hope this time I finally get to.

They played a free show at my school on Cope's release day. It was amazing, and they hung out for a few hours after show and talked to everybody. True story.

Sucks that we'll never see Chris on stage again with them. He really made their live show go from great to phenomenal.

I mean there's always a chance he would return for a one off right?

I don't know. I'm thinking it wasn't a clean break-up. I know in the past when members have left, the band/Andy still spoke highly of them...with Chris...there was pretty much silence from the band/Andy.

Idk I think they are all in good shape. I think chris just left to work on other ventures..

Its hard to say. It seems like it might not have been clean. When he posts stuff on Instragram. Kevin Devine and the guys in Thrice usually like his posts... nobody from Manchester ever does. That may just be me reading too much into it. It would be a real bummer if they are on bad terms...

Not saying it was or wasn't, but I do not recall Andy or the band really saying much about Chris leaving like they did when Jonathan & Jeremiah did.

When Jay left the band, MO put out a pretty long, thoughtful statement. When Chris left the band, it was two sentences. Read into that as you will.

Chris seemed to be pretty political and quite a bit into his art. For some weird reason on the Wikipedia page it mentioned that people claimed Andy was hard to get along with. But I couldn't find anywhere else to back that up. Only that between Simple Math and cope he lost a lot of weight and changed and matured a bit.

I'm curious as to what happened. It must be weird hitting 30 and being in a band that a lot of people into indie rock like...but not mainstream. You start questioning long term career and financial decisions. That may be the reason but there does seem to be a tad little bit of bad blood with the unfollowing and such. But that may be looking into it too much

Andy actually lost the weight right before Simple Math was released. I saw MO in 2010 when Andy was still bigger then they came to Cleveland like 10 months later, about a week before Simple Math was officially released and I was stunned to see how much weight he had lost.

What era? I've only seen them since cope came out and countless live videos from before... are you a fan of the band?

I think andy sounds near perfect at every show
I think they extend their arrangements beautifully live to make them more dynamic and interesting

I feel that the band is insanely tight in a way that I've only heard thrice execute a live rock sound. (This moreso now than on the older videos I've seen)

Cope may be their "worst" album but it was after that album that they took a big step forward as a live band

Saw them around the METN era and yea, it was just OK. It remember it being extremely loud but not particularly heartfelt.

Yeah I would go as far as to say they are my favorite live band. Only Thrice comes close to how tight they sound.

So I can confirm "The Parts" is in fact the Each Part song from his solo shows.

I'm definitely a fan of the band, but for me they are one of those bands, where no matter how well I know their catalog of music, every song sounds the same live and there are multiple times where it takes til the chorus for me to recognize what song it is.

It looks like I saw them twice in 2009 and once in 2012

This is even more shocking around these parts, but I have seen Thrice 3-4 times and they are probably my least favorite band. In a similar way to MO actually, I really really find all their songs to blend together live and sound exactly the same as one anothre
