Trump is nominating the lawyer that defended Christie during Bridgegate as his FBI Director...lol

Don't you think it would help if the so-called progressive party at least changed the financial disadvantage in primaries? I think it would go a long way to win elections for progressives. It may be an excuse but its valid to identify barriers to electing people who aren't tied to Wall Street or the like.

Yeah from a qualification perspective dude seems legit...like, possibly the most legit appointment Trump has made. Though I guess you could say Sessions is qualified for his job. And he seems at least fairly independent aka not gonna be a Trump lackey.

Just thought it was funny that it was Christie's lawyer for Bridgegate. Christie's been an unofficial advisor so far but dude's still gotta be mad he didn't get an official job.

Elements within the state apparatus fund ISIS, alongside members of the ruling class. Think of it like how we funded death squads in Latin America to achieve regional ends, i.e., fractions of the state and ruling class supported it and propelled it forward.

For the record, I think if dnc didn't put all their money behind an already rich guy than I think it could have helped other candidates. A lot of people don't do the research and vote based on name, that is also correct. It's more than one factor but i think in order for a third progressive party to exist and have a chance, every primary has to be closer and the candidates need to have financial backing from somewhere. I don't believe that voters actually are completely aware and chose the worst candidate, that's silly. It's a number of factors.

"The Clinton slavery controversy should not really be about the Clintons. It’s the prison labor system as a whole that is rotten, and they were only two especially amoral beneficiaries of it. Today, our attention should be focused on the cotton-pickers of Louisiana and the scores of other modern-day slaves. This is not a mere pathology of the Clintons, but a pathology of the country we all inhabit. And it is not just a single noxious political family that is complicit. We all are. "

Agreed, for all intents and purposes.

The Clintons did not own them. It would have been a wise idea for them to discontinue the 'tradition' when they entered the governor's mansion.

Pretty much my guess on why he decided to make it today.

The Health care bill is getting like no coverage right now outside of wonky circles. Shit might pass because of it.

Really pumped for a NJ General election ads. I assume its just going to be 90% "YOU WOULDN'T WANT MORE CHRISTIE" ads versus "YOU WOULDN'T WANT MORE CORZINE" ads which is hilarious (in the sad way).

There is no state party worse than the NJ Democratic Party.

To the people who are very familiar with Middle East politics....how worried should we be about war over the Qatar situation? Iran isn't stupid enough to go to war with Saudi and UAE right?

A lot of health care twitter began to worry yesterday that the Senate might go the way of hte House and basically carry every single thing out in secret and then spring a vote and see what happens.

From what I read yesterday, it seems like the Senate may not let states opt of community rating, which I don't think the House will be happy with.
