Yeah, I don't know. That's all I've seen so far. Can't imagine he would cancel stuff for Progress, they seem friendly with WWN/PWG. But don't know what he could be doing that would allow him to work Progress but nothing else.

 

FWIW, my article with Jinder did massive numbers (it actually was up there with cover-story numbers/#humblebrag), which is pretty insane considering it was just a fairly standard Q&A about his diet. For whatever reason, people are willing to tune in for Jinder. Maybe WWE didn't expect to have something big with him as champ, but I'm starting to think if they play their cards right, they could have something special.

Also, tonight's Fashion Files was possibly the best one yet. Michael Hayes as a repeat offender on the board had me cracking up

Their gimmick should be that they have a new gimmick every week

I really didn't mean it to be a brag, though. I just think it's interesting that a guy like Jinder was able to pull that many eyeballs. Probably more impressive than the numbers was the fact that the piece was our number one story for three days in a row, and only dipped down below the top 10 stories yesterday, which was the fifth day it was out. I hoped the story would do well, but the interest in Jinder seems to be much higher then I expected.

My biggest takeaway about Jinder is that he's polarizing. But he's not polarizing because of his religion or his heritage. I think if WWE could move quickly beyond that being the crux for which he is a heel, they would be much better served.

I'm amazed at how great this little Goldust/R Truth feud has been. Well, I really shouldn't be amazed considering both are great at what they do.

 

Yeah, this is why I think it'll fail long-term. His character has been getting more offensive/stereotypical, not less. The face covering in his entrance, for example.

I'd actually love to know how the Jinder gimmicks is seen in India.

 

another good smackdown. i gotta give WWE credit, this was a solid weekend for them. If Lana was Lana (i hate her entrance now)...this would've been a solid B+ smackdown (it's a B because of it).

 

I think you're asking a bit too much from Vince, unfortunately. That's basically the only way he knows to build a heel at this point. I'd love if they broke the fourth wall/played the "reality era" card and touched on the steroid stuff as part of it, but I'm sure he'd never touch that given his history with it.

Show was pretty good. Main event should have been for the title.

I agree that Lana should have dropped the accent. I was pretty surprised that she didn't.

Lots of juicy news today. The two that I'll post in here:

-WWE are happy with the Fashion Files product.
-The Hardyz are going to work a reduced schedule due to Reby having a kid this week.

 

Makes sense. Id think being a wrestling fan with young kids is probably damn near impossible, trying to keep up with 5hrs, sometimes 8+hrs a week. And all of their latest stuff is either targeted at younger kids or hardcore fans.

I'd bet they have a bunch of 20-30yr olds, and a bunch of 50+ yr old fans.

 

Also, I think there's one massive flaw in WWE's shift to appeal to families and children more. So many kids got into pro wrestling during the Attitude Era BECAUSE it was something we weren't supposed to watch.

 

Haven't seen M. Lee around, and they aren't taggable either due to the first portion of their username being one letter lol. So I'm gonna count up prediction cards today. I'll take it over full time if need be. Or M. Lee can cut a promo on me and we'll have an interim champion storyline.

If I take over, winner of MITB does not get the APWP title: they get 5 points to use on any future card.
