Also, while I don't particularly like Mat, he no longer has my ire. Nynaeve is now the character that annoys me the most.

But I adore Perrin and Loail. And I think I am beginning to like Elayne a good deal.

 

Perrin just went home and found out what was happening in the two rivers.

Poor, poor Perrin.

 

Book four was sooooo awesome. Probably my favorite of the series so far.

 

Egwene FINALLY dressing down Nynaeve was everything to me. That should happen every time I am forced to suffer through a Nynaeve viewpoint.

 

Egwene stands up for herself like no other when she needs to. She's almost as scary as Nynaeve.

 

I'm all for anyone telling Nynaeve she sucks.

I'm enjoying Egwene and Siuan POV chapters. The "OMG I loooooove Rand" stuff is getting a bit annoying. I'm bummed Min got pulled into it.

I wouldn't mind some Moiraine POV.

Edit: Also, Moghedien is terrifying. Love it.

 

Book 5 is done and dusted.

Things seem to be moving really quickly now. How in the world are there still 9 more of these? Haha

And was there no Perrin at all in book 5? Whoa. No more of that. More Perrin!

 

I remember being so mad that he wasn't in that one at all. Later his stuff gets pretty slow for a while, to the point I hated his POV, by now I'm back to loving him.

Am about 3/4 of the way done with the last book. Matt I think is my favorite character. I could read entire books just about him and his adventures. Also Moridin is so interesting. Definitely an awesomely written villain

 

Yeah get used to entire books without characters, ha, it's really brutal. I'm pretty sure at least every main character is left out of at least one book. That's one of the reasons the last 3 books are so exciting, you get everyone.

 

He was consistently a favorite for mine but a lot of that has to do with my love for Faile. Moridon is the best, perfect example of Jordan's perfect villains. So does this mean you're at the Last Battle?

 

I got tired of his POV during the stuff when he is trying to rescue Faile. It just dragged for a while.
I think I'm getting close to that chapter. Matt is preparing Merrilor for the last stand. Faile just caught Vanin trying to steal the Horn and Nyneave found Alanna in the cavern

 

Awesome. Really that whole book can be considered the Last Battle but you'll get why they made that one epic chapter when you get there, ha. Definitely take Garretts advice and make sure you can read it straight through.

Ok, Kate Reading has decided, after two fucking books, to change how she pronounces "Moghedien" and it is annoying the hell out of me.

She went from "Mogadeen" for two books to "Mogideon"

It's like in Way of Kings when her and Kramer pronounced "Sadeas" differently.

 

I pronounced it as Mog-dien...So basically just ignoring the "he"

 

The thing is, I don't really get to see how names are spelled since I'm doing audiobook.

So going from Mogadeen to Mogideon was a pain in the ass. I thought it was a new character for a bit until I just stopped and googled the spelling. I just don't understand how this happens? It's the same damn people. They didn't catch it for two books?

 

Oh yeah, that's definitely insane and would drive me crazy. That's like the audio version of suddenly turning Rand into Rant on book 7, ha.

 

And if you remember, at the beginning of Book 6, she is going under another name to hide her identity from the ousted Aes Sedai. So it was stupid confusing for a minute there.

I really dislike Kate Reading as a narrator. But she does this and the Stormlight Chronicles so I am doomed to hear her voice for a long, long time haha

 

Yeah. I wish both series had better narrators. I think I don't like Shallan BECAUSE of Kate Reading.

 

Man, I wish I could like this comment a million times.

This is precisely how I feel. When I hear Sanderson describe Shallan I scratch my head. Because that definitely is not the character Reading is portraying.

 

Reading is super inconsistant with accents. Sometimes she give Elayne and other characters strong accents and other times none at all

 

Must be the reason because Shallan is awesome!

 

Oh come on, Rand. How could you have been so damn stupid and gotten yourself kidnapped by Aes Sedai


Everyone is acting stupid. Except maybe Mat. And Fael is making Perrin's POVs suck now. I hate her.
