it is really loud and relentless, vocally and instrumentally. but yea tonally it was very major key which is why it doesn't feel as heavy as Mean Everything to Nothing which has a few more minor key songs. One thing I love about this band is they write great songs in both major and minor and their major songs never feel super corny

They'll never get any heavier than their cover of Don't Speak, which is real nasty.

Am I the only one that didn't enjoy the Don't Speak cover? To me it just sounds super "noisy". I'm a fan of distinguished voices from the instruments, just a personal opinion. That, 5 stories and Bad Books 1 are the only pieces I'm missing from my total Andy Hull Vinyl collection, and I can't bring myself to buy a $100 Vinyl where I don't like one side of it.

Whatever happened to Bad Books I vinyl? I remember Andy a few years ago saying they'd repress it.

Will happen sooner rather than later, they just got the rights to it back from Razor & Tie.

Wish MO/Andy had released some of those Sinful Math demos or Simple Math b-sides he had posted about before before the new album comes out.

I do know there were vocals that were recorded for the "response" album to RAGC by certain people, but that was a long time ago.

I think I've been underrating Simple Math. I put it on in the car today and really enjoyed it. The run of the last three songs is really phenomenal.

It was on the "board of recorded" for simple math, and apparently one of the last to be cut before final release.

Pretty sure a recorded version of "Rejoice" would be my favorite MO song.

I'm also quite fond of a solo song Andy used to play with the lyrics, "I remember that I wanted to kiss you," that changed into, "I remember that I wanted to kill you."
