I'll never be optimistic about an election ever again. But I wanna see some more convergence of those numbers. I don't think he's gonna win as of right now, but if that gap keeps moving ...

Are The U.K. Polls Skewed?

 

I'm genuinely curious, if you're against military action, what do people think the solution is to these terrorist attacks? Obviously we shouldn't be letting attacks fuel hatred for minorities and religions, but we can't ignore the valid threat that has been attacking multiple countries in the past few months, can we?

 

Same. The election was always about managing the extent of a Tory victory and, in that regard, Labour has been quite successful. And with an openly leftist manifesto, too. But shit, it's hard to tamp down my expectations. Ha.

 

I don't think we'll get the most seats but pretty much any hung parliament result means he'll be Prime Minister. If the Tories even lose 6 seats it's probably his. Lose 16, and it's a sure thing. In a parliament of 650 that's not a huge percentage swing they need.

 

I want this for you guys just as much as us pls

 

the problem is that military action just fuels further attacks, but I do think intelligence agencies do need to get rid of the networks but in a nonviolent way without bombing and torture, I don't know exactly what that is

 

I'm watching the the One Love concert at home right now and I have to say it's such an incredible thing to be happening in the face of such hideous acts of terror. Seeing the performances Ariana is putting in considering the circumstances is truly remarkable. Got me bawling all over the shop here.

 

Well, I think part of it has to deal with the material conditions that give rise to terror.

 

It feels lIke its so far gone. The United States fucked it up a long time ago and continues to. The damage is done. Our memory is too short we always reference Bush Jr as the jumping off point. But we have been meddling since the Gerald Ford administration. People in so many countries have grown up only knowing the US dropping bombs on their villages since the 70s.
