Sounds like Trump is getting his talking points from someone else.

 

I think from his new advisor that used to play in a metalcore band in the aughts.

 

As I said, his political solutions did nothing to target the specific grievances and institutions that harm black folks. In fact, he rewarded those that destroyed their wealth. So, you can refer to Obamacare and those victories as something which helped black people, but, for example, black infant mortality remains high, we still get worse medical treatment compared to whites, our wealth still hasn't recovered since 2008. Again, the problem is systemic and it actively structures the horizons of political possibilities, such that black people still find themselves with the boot on their necks, regardless of which party is in power.


I don't see what the problem is with saying: You no longer have our automatic vote. You must change, otherwise we won't vote for you. You have to show us have you have changed. I feel like you're saying we should just take what we can get, which, to be fair, isn't particularly new, but isn't sustainable.

Hmm...what happened in Congress/the White House during that time period? Also, "expected" to continue declining before or after Trump starting enacting his environmental "policy?"

 

Its supposed to be a stronger than normal season too...
