I've been going back to Cope a lot lately. Easily my least favorite MO record, but honestly, still pretty solid and has grown on me a ton.

To clarify, he answers only within the embargo set on it.

Can't wait for this. Also can't wait to see them again. One of the best live bands

Thanks, I should have made that distinction. He's not just in there divulging anything we want to know. Just some general information. Still, more than worth the price of admission.

Yep. Aside from Brand New, MO is my favorite live band. Just as excited for a tour announcement as I am the album release. That said, such a bummer Chris will no longer be on stage.

I wonder what they will do to replace him on stage... He really added a lot to their live sound so I can't see them just leaving out that element completely.

They had someone filling in on the show with thrice so my guess is they have someone who can step in

Doubtful they can replace his presence though on stage. Honestly, that is what drew me to MO the first time I saw them open for Brand New in 2009. I didn't know much about the band, I had tried listening to them a few times and thought they were OK, but then I saw them live and they blew me away, and I was so intrigued by Chris on stage because he was literally losing himself up there, even during parts he wasn't involved. It was awesome to watch.

Actually saw Chris on two different occasions at the same bar outside of Newport Music Hall in Columbus the last two times MO/Bad Books played in Columbus. He was at the bar for hours before the show. Never went up to him, because he was always with a big group and I didn't want to be that guy.

Endless Light sounds fine tho so I wouldn't even care if Andy did it I don't care who the fuck does it I just dont wanna have to play "find the snare drum" every time a chorus hits

METN is always #1 for me but I go back and forth on ranking the others, so I'm not going to knock this statement at all.

Well no METN is easily my fav. I was just ranking the last two since everyone hates the mix on Cope.

as someone that has literally no experience with mixing, can someone explain what the issue was the Cope's mixing? People have said it was hard to hear the snare or the drums? Did they mix it in house? Chris and Andy? Is this the first one they mixed?

No I know, I'm just saying not going to argue with someone who ranks Cope above Math (like I assume others would) considering I do too sometimes.

My problem with it is the wall of sound. The layer upon layer of guitars kind of takes all the space and you have to strain to hear synth. It also prevents it from being dynamic and having levels. Everything feels the same volume and energy level the entire time.
