Rivalries are so dumb

Pens fans behind the analyst desk chanting "Flyers suck"

Imagine being 2 wins away from a back to back cup and even having your rival team on your mind

 

Probably trying to get a rise out of Roenick.

 

I forgot he was there for a few years. I will always remember him as a Coyote.

 

Loved seeing the score at the Angels game I was at tonight. Ducks made Rinne look human outside of Game 3/5 and to see him have two terrible games is equal parts frustrating and saddening.

I think the Ducks would have been in the same place (tied at best) as the Preds given their terrible history of playing in Pittsburgh and being outmatched in the speed aspect of the game.

 

This sucks

I'm going to assume that all of the fairweather Pens fans are screaming Pens in 4....Not gonna happen. This goes 6 games and it's still up in the air. Nothing is over until one team wins that fourth game.

 

Dumb question, but they go with Rinne in game 3, right?

 

Based on Lavy's comments after the game, I'd assume they go back to him. At this point, I think Saros gives them the better chance to win, but it is what it is. I can understand the mentality that Rinne got you to this point, but his play at this point is just not good enough. If he has another bad game Saturday, oh boy..

 

Has Saros played this post-season at all?

 

No, last night was his first appearance.

 

That's what I figured. Hey, man. It's the finals. Anything can fucking happen and usually does.

 

I'm really interested to see how the Preds respond on home ice. I think they haven't quite found their game yet (not taking anything away from the pens in game 2, obviously), but Saturday is going to be interesting to say the least. Gotta love it.

 

Is there such thing as a 'fair weather Pens fan' at this point? The team has been great for ten years with no sign of slowing.

 

Pittsburgh fans are a strange breed, actually. There are some deep-rooted hardcore fans for every one of the major teams, but so many folks hop on when the teams make post-season runs and have been spoiled by the success of all the teams and don't understand how lucky they are to see this type of talent consistently for this long. "Spoiled" is more like it. The colloquial term for many of them is "Yinzer" because much like the south uses the term "y'all" many folks from Pittsburgh say "Yinz".

 

Fair weather is more like fake, bandwagon fans

 

I hear you. And there are definitely a lot of those too. Don't get me wrong.

 

I had a dream that I played for the Preds last night. Assisted on a PK goal. Got benched in the third tho.
