This discussion of food and comedy wrestling has all but assured I watch WeeLC over pizza for dinner.

 

I know I harp on this all the time, but there is absolutely no reason the type of comedy spots you see in PWG couldn't work in WWE. The crowd has shown they're responsive to it. It's fine to keep it away from the main titles if you want, but I don't think it would take away from mid-card or tag title matches. The reason comedy acts don't get taken seriously in WWE is because WWE refuses to ever book someone like a real threat if they do anything even comedy adjacent.

 

Gallagher is a great example. He's still seen as a legit contender, yet half his move set is comedy. They could definitely do more like that.

 

Saturday Morning Slam was a testament to this. Wish it was on the Network.

 

Yeah if Dalton Castle moves over to NXT/WWE, it will be fascinating to see how they handle him. He is an incredible comedy act in and out of the ring

 

Agreed. Sushi is my favorite food.

 

WWE needs more comedy all around, especially on the Raw side.

 

I just didn't like the fact they didn't take the tag title match seriously...that was the first time during this whole hilarious gimmick where I said "ahhhhhh not now guys". Cause comedy has a shelf life and if they balanced it with "oh and they wrestle good too when they try"...thats what id prefer.

It's not terrible. I'm not rolling my eyes with any of it...its just not what I'd do with it.

They shouldn't go sway from the fashion part of the gimmick either. They wrestle now as "detectives" in costumes than fashion police.

 

Having Archibald Peck on the creative team should help them get decent comedy bits going.

 

Breeze's gimmick is basically Zoolander. And Fandango is basically a male stripper. You cant get rid of the fashion side of their gimmicks.

Especially when there are tons of jokes to be made about what The New Day wear week to week

 

No thoughts on NXT or Lucha? lol. I was playing softball so I missed both. Hockey also take priority.

 

Starting NXT now after getting my shit kicked in emotionally by Handmaid's Tale.

Agreed. Kinda kept waiting for a flub that never came. Genius to incorporate the speculation of a replacement partner for Gargano.

Honestly Santino Marella's Honk-A-Meter IC title run was so entertaining, comedy wrestling that actually made me tune in weekly because of how funny it was
