TGG is my 2nd least favorite I'd take Suburbia and NCTH over it.

HTL were a fun caricature of pop punk in like 2006 and then quickly became a caricature of themselves which is not fun at all. ATL kinda sucks too but at least they're doing shit

That's weird and cool. I saw him live like 10 years ago with (DJ Cut Creator though, not a band) on one of his rare European tours and he was really good, probably the best performance I have seen by a rapper (between him and Nas probably out of the ones I have seen). His MTV Unplugged (which had a different name at that point) of Mama Said Knock You Out (the album) is also really good.

He's been gradually disassociating himself with that nickname since promoting Suburbia. He always introduces himself as Dan or Daniel Jason Campbell haha. When I met the band at Warped they all called him Dan and he introduced himself as Dan "but you probably already knew that since you're a fan of our band haha".

He seems visibly annoyed when someone calls him that haha. I always kinda cringe when a review refers to him as Soupy since he'd prefer to be taken more seriously given the music they write and the topics they cover. I think he probably feels "Soupy" is a holdover from GSOI and those younger years

 

I smoked a cig with the bassist of A Loss For Words at a Wonder years show once and Nick steinborn walked by and told me not to smoke

 

People don't know This Providence? Who Are You Now? is probably one of the 5 best records FBR ever released.

Sad that Mozarts catalog is constantly compared to Beethovens. The beef between them was really exaggerated and Mozart even joined Beethoven on stage to perform "The Fifth Symphony" which was supposedly written when Mozart slept with Beethovens high school girlfriend. I mean yeah Mozart definitely went more radio rock and the Mozart-jamboree cruise is weird but Beethoven hasn't put out an album in like hundreds of years. Someone on the Beethoven subreddit said that they've heard some demos but idk if anything is going to come of it.

 

A few weeks ago I found a bunch of old FBR stickers and it was like walking thru memory lane. One of the first online orders I ever placed was with them and my mom was super concerned it was a scam lol
