I like Daisy as individual tracks that come up when I'm playing this band's discography on shuffle. As an actual album though - eleven songs straight through, I can't stand it.

I don't skip anything off Daisy. I feel like all the tracks play off each other well. The unsettling creep of "Bed" is enhanced by the chaos of "Vices" right before. The calm of "You Stole" is deafening after the the aggression of "Gasoline" and its climax hits harder that way. Even "Be Gone" works as a centerpiece to the album, reminding the listeners that the album is supposed to be an uncomfortable listen with odd styling. Daisy is one of my favorite albums to listen to from front to back because it really captures a mood. I love the sequencing of the record so much.

Daisy is a top 10 record all time for me. The head space I was in when that came out.. It just hit me so hard. I was in a very dark place and few records mean more to

Same here. It's #7 for me, with Deja right after. It might seem a bit narrowminded to have 3 of their records be top 10 (TDAG being #1), but I cannot stress enough how important this band is to me for the development of my love for music. I got into all 4 records at the same time, so out of the 3 I do like now, they hold so much emotional weight. I can't really disassociate the attachment I have for Daisy when listening to Deja, for example (and vice versa). Devil and God has a higher placing because of how much of a music leap it was. It allowed itself to generate emotions and experiences unique to its siblings.

Added a new show to the Archive. I have seen this one floating around here and there over the years, but a lot of people don't have it. Enjoy.

I don't know. It's hard to separate the 418 and "know gods just work" from Brand New simply because the only other places those terms have been used have been in the band's merch (that I'm aware of). Could be a step towards the album release roll-out.

I hated Daisy when it first came out but I love it now and don't skip any tracks. I hope people that claim they hate it relisten over time instead of just being one and done.

I guess we'll just have to wait until 04/2018 before we get some real answers to all this nonsense.

Well Greater Pyrenees already came out right? Is there any 418 or Know Gods with their stuff?

Considering the way some people have stretched or deciphered meaning when it comes to Brand New clues being cryptic, I don't think it's much of a stretch to see how this might lead to more info/similar posts in the near future. Also, the fact that Brand New made a post tagging P!MT soon after their own post leads me to believe they're connected.

Then again, it could just be promoting the label. But, why not post it last week for the first release of the year?
I'd like to know that, too.

Look, I'd love for this to lead to something. If love if both those things were brand new related and not just Procrastinate. I'm all aboard the hype train! I'm just trying to keep it in check a bit haha

yeah, really the only rational thing to take out of yesterday is: Brand New posted a picture on their instagram of them learning how to levitate. they were all in the same room and maybe were doing band things other than becoming ninja warriors.

The IG account has been around for awhile. Yesterday (4/18) just happened to be their first post. However, I can definitely see the correlation between their first post and wanting to get people's attention on the account by way of the band's.

Radio station in Seattle (KNDD 107.7 The End) does live sessions with bands, referred to as The End Sessions. Brand New has appeared on it twice previously. Recordings below:

    November 17th, 2003

Full band set ripped from Seattle radio station KNDD 107.7 The End for their "The End Sessions" series. This is Session #85. Setlist features acoustic and electric/acoustic hybrid versions of "I Will Play My Game Beneath the Spin Light," "Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis," "Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades," "The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot" and "The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows." Recorded off the radio soundboard, the set is great in terms of sound quality and features relative rarity "Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis" with a unique version. Jesse adds random lyrics to the "Sic Transit" bridge. Recommended, and if you enjoy these versions, 3/29/2007 End Sessions is a great sister set. Thanks to @davezucker for the rip.

    March 29th, 2007

Full band set ripped from Seattle radio station KNDD 107.7 The End for their "The End Sessions" series. This is Session #142. Fantastic quality from the soundboard recording, the band performs unique acoustic-electric hybrids of five songs: Degausser, Jesus Christ, Luca, Play Crack The Sky (Jesse solo) and Sowing Season. Similar to the great 12/17/07 and 4/21/08 sets at Looney Tunes -- but in much better quality -- these are some really nice, innovative takes on Brand New classics. Garrett's bass lines come through clean while Jesse's acoustic is complemented perfectly by Vinnie's echo/reverb tinged and trippy riffery. Highlights include a seamless, restrained version of the "Luca Bomb," Jesse's explanation of a "Degausser," minor lyric changes in "Play Crack The Sky" (kiss me instead of call me) and "Sowing Season" with the original lyrics. Appears to be a private performance for winners of a radio contest. Recording features clicking and popping at some points. 11/17/2003 is recommended if you enjoy this. Thanks to Matt Goff for sending this one over.

@RuckerPark Any idea when the end session will take place? That's probably what they are rehearsing for. Also is the new material comment just personal speculation, or do you know something we dont?

Vin lives in my town actually, 2 blocks from my house. Was walking home the other week from picking up food and he was in this guitar repair shop/tarot reader/trinket store. Man, his hair is crazy long these days.

Remember that You Won't Know video where he smashes his guitar, pulls down his amp, smashes his guitar through his amp, then beats the guitar against the amp for a bit?

I'd guess he makes frequent stops to that guitar repair shop
