The Aaron West album is fine. Like a stove top hamburger. It's fine.

Also, John Darnielle is one of the greatest songwriters of all time, fight me irl.

 

We The Kings are better at social commentary than any other band in our scene they're the reason I got into Shakespeare

 

FTSK's best song isn't even on that album

this was like their only good song after that and i was so hyped to see them be good again but oooooof

she's a lady is maybe their best song on the first album though

...now if we're talking about horrific vocalists in any sense of the word...here you go

 

I liked about half the first WTK album though and the whole second was solid. After that they got bad, that last one was one of the worst things I heard in 2015

I'll tell you who was great as far as generic mid '00s pop-rock goes; Army of Freshmen. They put out like 2 or 3 really fun records, and were always a blast to see live. I'd go see them again in a heartbeat.

 

Check Yes Juliet is some nice sugary dumbed down JEW worship but other than that We The Kings are another "what?" when looking back on the scene for me

that was so so so bad lol i still like a few songs but holy crap. those dudes are disgusting. not to mention fucking CIWWAF opened too and he's the worst

JEW worship is what i call the dangerous summer, only its good and also one half starting line worship

 

I liked that and a few other songs from the second album, but that band has aged much worse than most pop rock bands of that era.

I more mean JEW worship in the sense that they hears "the middle" and thought, "what if we did that, but infinitely worse, and for every song"

 

TDS doesn't sound much like JEW to me, they sound sorta like TSL but much better

 

Never heard the other two, but Every Avenue was pretty solid. Of course, I still think ATL crushes all of them if they count.

ATL i don't really count just because they're in the weird boat where they started earlier and lasted much much longer.

TFT was my favorite band i still can get down with them

 

TSL was sooooo overrated. BOATS is a good album though

i don't like any TSL but their last album and their last album is one of the best albums from the stereotypical AP scene

 

this band should have blown up, this EP is one of the best shitty purevolume releases, total ATL rip but the songs are so good for that style of music
