Elon is such an awesome dude. I mean he genuinely cares about these issues and has done more than probably anyone about it. It kinda doesn't feel fair to heap criticism his way. Hes on the board because he genuinely cares and wants to fix the issue. He's literally arguing with some of the stupidest people in the world. And I think if he left it would just be worse. Maybe I'm ignorant to something here it just doesn't feel fair.

 

I do not trust Elon Musk

 

Elon Musk lost me when he became obsessed with Amber Heard after finding out she reads Ayn Rand and George Orwell, that and don't trust people that rich

 

i kinda hate elon musk and the cult of personality he's built around himself but yeah, even i agree with this

 

He's a weirdo libertarian, right? But, I'm not gonna complain about putting more Telsas on the road.

 

Elon Musk treats his workers badly. That's enough for me to hate him. Plus, this idea of him as a great man that, alone, will solve our problems is terrible and just enshrines oligarchy.

 

I think he's more like a liberal-tarian. Leans more left than towards that libertarian bent from what I can tell.

The Tesla CEO also lambasted the efforts of the United Auto Workers union to unionize Tesla employees at the company's factory in Fremont, California, calling the organization's tactics for doing so "disingenuous or outright false." Musk alleged that the UAW's "true allegiance is to the giant car companies, where the money they take from employees in dues is vastly more than they could ever make from Tesla."

Lots of stuff on Musk out there, but his defense of working with Trump was the final straw for me.

Agreed. The prospect of his gigafactories or whatever he calls them seems amazing imo. I think there's one going in China as part of their billion dollar green infrastructure. I wish we had lots of people thinking about and doing these things but it feels like we dont.
