The only thing I've seen is speculation that he's autistic

 

It doesn't make a difference because it's still wrong, but all I could find with a quick Google were articles speculating on him being autistic over how his overall behavior during the victory speech and inauguration.




Because apparently there's a specific way an 11 year old should act while having literally the biggest spotlight in the world on him.

 

News stations shouldn't have to dumb down their content so an 11 year old can understand and follow what is going on. If people are specifically targeting Barron, that is a problem. If they are doing their regular content and Barron is watching and getting confused, that is a problem for whoever is letting him watch.

 

Objective stupidity.

 

I don't care about his well-being. Given that he is the white son of a billionaire, I'm sure he will be okay.

 

The kid is 11 years old, why are people coddling him like he's a small child?

 

I think Barron should be off limits because it's not really his fault he has a shitty dad, Ivanka Don Jr and Eric are part of the empire so it's fair game, and Tiffany exists I guess

 

Tell that to Chelsea Clinton and Obama's daughters.

I don't think it's okay that Rush Limbaugh called 13 year old Chelsea Clinton a dog, I don't think it should have to come with the territory even though I know it does

 

It's not fun, I can tell you that. There's a road I drive down once a week in the middle of nowhere and there is a giant yard sign that has been up since he won the election that says "Ruff em up Trump" and another one that says "you lost liberals, get over it."

All I can think about when I see it is they have no idea how bad Trump is messing up their lives specifically.

Edit: I think one of the things that bothers me the most about the sign is that it isn't some campaign sign that they paid for our donated to and received to put in their yard. It's on a giant wooden sign that they went out of there way to nail together, paint, and put in their yard.

 

I am not wild about news orgs, and political allies of the President using Barron as a tool to garner sympathy and potentially stifle vigorous dissent / protest. "That was bad because Barron saw and he was sad!"

If Barron did see the image and experience an emotional trauma, that falls on his parents, who opted into this. And if people are going to prop poor Barron up in an attempt to curry sympathy, they risk inviting more traumatic moments.

I am not going to call an 11 year old dumb, nor should anyone, but the people who leaked this story and are pushing it did so strategically. They are using Barron for cover, which undoubtedly results in some people taking shots at Barron, which then lets them play the sympathy card again. Calling Barron names is shitty, using him for political cover (or worse, a club for beating down dissent) is worse.

 

Meanwhile, a black queer woman is under attack and being threatened:
