Does anyone remember if they've announced when the second wave was coming in the past years, or have they just sort of... Showed up?

I feel like they did it in 2015 and it backfired a bit when they had to push it out, but I don't recall what they did last year... Or before that.

Either way. Not banking on anything tomorrow. BUT I WANT TO BE WRONG SO SO BADLY!

Beat me to it! Glad we don't need to wait another week! Let the speculation continue...

Is the second wave usually the final band announcement?

I'm assuming it means we'll get all 25+ bands and the final "album" sets.

EDIT: Yup. Album plays are coming at the same time, according to the e-mail they just sent!

No single day lineups yet though, which I wasn't expecting anyway.

I think we'll probably get those in July, then aftershows in August and schedule in September

I'm thinking the same thing, as well.

I am, however, anticipating at least one "end of night" headliner, 2-3 "second to last" headliners, and a whole mess of undercard acts.

I do want to note, however, that I'm thinking that I might not care too much about the final "big name" headliner, whoever that might be (unless it's Fall Out Boy--most of the others I would have cared about seem to have been ruled out).

I can't wait until tomorrow so we can finally end with people trying to claim Jawbreaker isn't headlining when it is pretty clear that they are.

I don't think anyone's really thought or mentioned that in here for a while.

I was talking more about reddit than here. It was the first thing I saw today when I checked on there.

I'd love that but it doesn't seem likely

I can see somebody thinking that/not getting why Jawbreaker may not be a headlining act (even though it's very clearly posted on the poster)...

I'd just like a year to go by where people don't get all hyped on the possibility of Tears for Fears. That's one thing that baffles me every year.

Just give me one of these: Bouncing Souls, Alkaline Trio, Saves The Day, Less Than Jake and a few more cool undercards and I'm happy

Oh yea I see that reddit post now haha. I mean I'll admit I was a little thrown off because I wouldn't have thought they were big enough to headline, but it's very clear by the way they showed the lineup that those 3 headliners are set in stone. If anything there will be another big band Sunday that plays right before Jawbreaker on the same pair of stages, but Jawbreaker is absolutely closing the fest Sunday, no question about that.

Jawbreaker is top-billing simply because it's been so long, and for now it's a one-off. They're a fairly popular band, but in the grand scheme of things? Maybe not so much...

If they become a full-time band, do a tour, and then do another festival? They would most definitely drop a line or two. But for now? They're at the top and it makes perfect sense. See also: The Descendents and Refused. Supply and demand and all that.

Even if I'm only excited for 25% of the 25+ we're getting tomorrow, I'll still be at 30 bands I want to see. Good odds.

So here are some of my hopes that I can think off at the moment: Sum 41, MxPx, Goldfinger, Tsunami Bomb, Choking Victim, The Adicts, Dillinger Four.

I would also like one of the albums to be Descendents playing everything sucks. I know that last year was the 20th anniversary, but that didn't stop them from waiting until this year to put out a 20th anniversary edition of the album, so who knows. Although if we were to get an album that isn't a rounded anniversary, I would rather it be Sum 41 playing All Killer, but I don't see that one happening.

MxPx, Tsunami Bomb, and Dillinger Four are all on my list as well! Tsunami Bomb would be a really, really pleasant surprise. I was a bit bummed they didn't do more touring... I'm on the fence about wnating/needing to see Goldfinger again, but I wouldn't argue if they were added. Haha. The Explosion, Strike Anywhere, the Loved Ones, and/or Snapcase would be great too.

My biggest album hope has been dashed to shit due to another tour date (the Offspring doing Ixnay on the Hombre). So Everything Sucks would be awesome!

That's the most realistic outcome. Also MCR is getting back together
