Tonight was horrible. Doors were at 10. Opener went on at 1:30. Charli came in around 2 and basically just had the DJ play some songs she wanted to hear. I was hoping she would do a full set, but even her own tracks played with her barely singing along. I watched her do lip gloss, 3 am, and boomclap, all of which had at least 5 club tracks between them, before I checked out. I'm kinda frustrated, but I should have expected it from an after party show.

 

Sounds almost identical to the show that I had tickets to and skipped out on earlier this year. She didn't go on til like 1 for that show either, on a week night, and it was just her and a dj singing parts of songs

 

Dreamer is one of the best songs of the year for me

Oh wow, "Mess" leaked today.

For those who don't remember, this is from her lost "punk" album and she played it live around 2012ish pretty often. EDIT: actually this was just from before her debut album, maybe not from the punk one

Not only that but it looks like the new album itself is leaking in snippets. It feels both frustrating and satisfying to hear short studio versions for Bounce and Girls Night Out. This album's era has already been such a mess but this time it's unbelievable. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if we get to hear the album waaaaaaaaaaay before it's supposed to be finally released.

 

Unsurprisingly all those snippets sound way better than After The Afterparty and Boys.

 

Charli will scrap the album and then we'll have to wait two more years for a new album

 

Number 1 Angel is basically her third album to me

 

Number 1 Angel is my favorite release by a long shot. I seriously listen to it every day.
